I realize from the name Online Fabric Store, you might have trouble guessing what this online store sells, so allow me to solve that mystery for ya. Fabric! And seemingly every kind of fabric – like upholstery, decor, quilting, apparel and even garden fabric. Which means that this week’s two winners (who are each getting $250 to spend there) could tackle anything from sewing some pillow covers or making a duvet to redoing the curtains in an entire room. And the cool thing about their system is that the more yardage you buy, the cheaper each yard gets – and once you get over that $50 mark, your shipping in the US is free.

Mandy says
Fabric Me!
I’m not sure if there is meaning behind my actual name, but I love the story of my nickname. Apparently, when my dad brought me in to see my grandparents, my grandmother took one look at me and said “Mandy!” and the nickname stuck. I was no longer Amanda. :)
Ariana says
Fabri me… My name means silvery in Welsh. They picked it out of a baby book. I like it :)
AliCountry says
FABRIC ME!
No great story to go with my name, Alison, other than both my parents liked it. My middle name, Joy, is after my Mother.
… I LOVE my husband’s (and now my) last name, Countryman.
Laura C. says
FABRIC ME!
I was named after one of my great grandmothers.
Ashley says
fabric me! there’s no real meaning behind my first name, but my middle name (frances) is after my grandmother and mother.
Debbie says
FABRIC ME!
My first name is just one my parents like, but my middle name is my dad’s mother’s name. But they only chose it because they liked the way it paired with my first name – my older sister doesn’t have a middle name at all!
Ayumi says
fabric me! my name is Japanese and it means “a walk” or “to walk”. Can be used to mean progress, or people walking towards each other type of thing.
Amy says
FABRIC ME!!
My mom had my name picked out since she was a little girl. The spelling, however, was decided on the day I was born by my grandma. She did not want it spelled Aimee, so when the nurse was filling out the paperwork, she spelled it out for her (while my mom was pretty much still knocked out and out of it). I love my grandma.
Megan says
FABRIC ME!! Megan was such a trendy name when I was born. There were four of us in my fourth grade class!
Katherine says
FABRIC ME!
My parents loved the movie “Kiss Me Kate” and decided to name their firstborn daughter “Katherine” as a result. So yeah. I’m named after Shakespeare’ shrew.
Karen H. says
FABRIC ME!
There is no story to my name… I’m not named after anyone (the only one in my family who isn’t!) and since I don’t have any grandchildren yet, I don’t even have anyone named after me. And I’m mad. :)
But my daughter does plan to name her first daughter the Hawaiian version of my name. My husband and I went to Hawaii some years back and he bought me a band with my Hawaiian name on it. My daughter fell in love with the name and has planned to give a daughter that name since. That works for me!
Alauna South says
FABRIC ME!!!
My name Alauna (pronounced ah-lawn-ah)is Hawaiian. Funny enough my parents named me after my dads ex-girlfriend because they loved the name so much. I assume my mother went for it because by the time I came along they had 5 other children!!!
Angela M says
FABRIC ME!
My name is Angela, middle name Rose. I think Angela was just because my mom liked it and Rose is after my mom’s Aunt Rose!
Sarah says
FABRIC ME!
My parents went the old fashioned way – all their children have classic biblical names. Hard to go wrong with that!
Ellen says
FABRIC ME!
I was seriously just called “Baby” for the first six months, my parents change my name so frequently. Much to the consternation of my great grandmother, as she had to pick out the very technical “Meredith” out of my baby sweater while my parents debated over my name. Four birth certificates later, I finally got my baby sweater with my name in it–and it didn’t fit!
Huong says
FABRIC ME!
Huong says
My name means valley. My brothers names mean desert and mountains so there’s a nature theme there :)
Sarah Wilcox says
Fabric Me!
First name was one that my parents liked and also a family name. It means Princess.
Middle name was a family surname for generations…back to the 1500’s at least. Though everyone thought it was after Whitney Houston :)
Hailey says
FABRIC ME!
Not sure how my folks picked my name, although I remember looking it up and reading something about how it meant a stack of hay in a field. Not exactly meaningful huh!?
Amanda A says
FABRIC ME! I need to make curtains for my entire house. I can’t find any already made that I actually like. Just moved in a few months ago and have nothing on the windows

Abigail says
FABRIC ME! I just know it means “Her father’s joy.”
Melissa D says
Fabric Me!
My name means “honey bee”…my mother’s, Debora, means “bee”. It worked out well. However, they actually got the name when my mother had a nightmare that they wouldn’t let her take me home after I was born because I didn’t have a name. Little House on the Prairie was on, and since two actresses’ real names are Melissa, that’s where she got my name. Better than “Little Debbie”, like others had been suggesting to her! LOL
Emily S. says
FABRIC ME! I have my mom’s middle name. I love that just the two of us share it. I’ve always known I’ll give it to my daughter one day, too (if I stop having boys!).
Emily @ LaForce Be With You says

DDay says
FABRIC ME!
My first name is just b/c my parents liked it, but my middle name was after my great-grandmother

Fabric me! According to my parents, they named me Erika because my dad liked Susan Lucci’s character, Erica Kane, on All My Children. And they spelled my name with a “K” because that’s what my last name starts with.
Sandrine says
FABRIC ME!
My first name doesn’t mean anything… But my married name means hammer or crazy, and my maiden name means chair! Yes, unfortunately true :-)
Jenny says
FABRIC ME! I was named after my mother’s childhood friend. Her name was Virginia Emily. She went by Ginny. I suppose my mother didn’t like the spelling, so she named me Jenny. Coincidentally, my oldest sister’s name is Emily. I guess my mother really liked this friend! And I got my middle name from Katherine Hepburn. So there! Please fabric me! I love the online fabric store!!
Renee says
Fabric Me!! I could totally use some fabric to make some curtains in our new home. We’ve been here for 3 months and still have the temporary paper shades up.
And my name…..only significance is that my mom took a french class and liked it. :)

Charlie says
FABRIC ME!
When my mum was in maternity hospital having me, there was a lady nearby on the ward who was called Charlotte. She actually wasn’t very nice (!) but the name was and they gave it to me! It was important to my parents to give me a name that works in both English and French as I’m half-British, half-French.
My middle name is a bit of a family thing – it’s my grandmother’s first name and my mother’s middle name. At least one cousin has it as a middle name too.
Ana Silva says
FABRIC ME!
No idea about the origin of my name.
Kim says
FABRIC ME!
I don’t think there’s any interesting story behind my name, but if I was born a boy my name would have been Louis, which just so happens to be my boyfriend’s name!
Justine in CT says
Fabric Me! My mother was named Justina, which my Czech grandmother pronounced U-STEEN-NA. When my mom got older, she changed the “a” to an “e” – and when I was born, she named me after her new name (JUST-TEEN). My cousin is also named Justine but we all called her Tina.

Fabric me!
After generations of using Jeannette, Jane or Janet on my mother’s side of the family, my dear sweet dad saw a name on a waitress at my parents’ favorite pizza parlor. And henceforth I was known as Stephanie Ann. I always felt left out, so I gave my youngest daughter the middle name of Jane.
Whitney says
Fabric me!!
My name isn’t a family name and doesn’t have a special meaning; as with many folks, my parents just liked it. I’ve never particularly liked it but I’ve also never vehemently hated it. I guess I don’t feel like it suits me but family and friends seem to disagree. Not very exciting. Wah wahhh.
davis ann says
my name is davis ann (double name, southern-style i go by both of them).
davis is my paternal grandmother’s maiden name, and ann was my mom’s best friend in college. it’s different :)
Caroline says
My name is Caroline. Think my mom had a neighbor named Caroline as a child and liked the name. I don’t have a middle name though, which I used to hate- but now I kinda like. My sister is Roxanne- but we all call her Roxy. She was named after Roxy Music (70s band)…
mads78 says
fabric me – my name means the stage of a child when it begins to talk. I guess my parents wanted me to be that age forever.
Katie Young says
FABRIC ME! I have the most common name for girls born in 1977, so my entire life I’ve been known by my initials. My parents had picked out the name Rebecca for me, but when I was born my older sister said it sounded like “tobacco” so they changed it at the last minute to Katherine.
Kristin says
FABRIC ME!
My dad’s name starts with a K so my mom wanted my name to start with a K as well. Since they didn’t find out my sex, my mom had Kyle picked out if I was a boy and Kristin for a girl.
Pamela @ Pink Hammers & Sippy Cups says
FABRIC ME! I’m named after my mom! Apparently my dad loved her name so much he wanted to name me that too no matter what. I used to hate it when I was a kid and wanted to be named Sophia but now I’ve grown into it and couldn’t picture being anything else!
