Fab Freebie: Initial Impressions
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – get a discount and see who won below!***
Everyone can score 10% off a purchase from Initial Presents with code YHL10 through March. And our two random winners of $75 gift credits are…Angela (who’s ARS initials sound like a pirate talking ’bout its booty) and Cecilia (who’s CRS initials are pretty run of the mill).
You probably know by now that we’ve pretty much never met a monogram that we didn’t like (I know that’s a weird thing for a dude to say, but I like letters and typefaces, sue me). So if you dig that particular brand of classic personalization as much as we do, then you’ll have no trouble burning through the $75 you could win from Initial Presents this week. They’re all about letting you customize their products – from cutting boards and wine glasses to clothing and jewelry. And two of you are gonna win the chance to put your mark on some of ‘em.
- PRIZE: A $75 gift credit to Initial Presents
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MY INITIALS ARE [insert your initials]!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … tell us what you love (or loathe) about your initials. Do they spell something cool (or maybe something embarrassing)? Do they make for a great nickname (kids in high school used to call me JP, for instance)? Are you kinda indifferent about them? Or do you wish you could change them to something more interesting?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 16th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Initial Presents.

MY INITIALS ARE ALM. Which are the same as my husband’s. Pretty handy since he’s from the South and they monogram EVERYTHING, so when we married, I automatically got a ton of cool monogrammed stuff!
MY INITIALS ARE JJL. I love my name, and have yet to change it since getting married.
My initials are LMS! Nothing too spectacular or bothersome about them!
MY INITIALS ARE BAG. Seriously, no joke. Before I got married my initials were BAB, which was a little less funny. Thank goodness monograms put your last initial in the middle! :)
MY INITIALS ARE SCC. I hated them because people would ask if I was “sick”.
Thankfully since my childhood, I have remarried and took his last name. Yay! :D
My initials are REM, like the band. And that makes them awesome. When I got married my mom tried to convince me to use my maiden name as my middle name, however I couldn’t pass up the chance to be REM legally.
My initials are HHV. I just got married in November so I am still adjusting to my new initials. Sometimes I completely forget they have changed. Oops!
MY INITIALS ARE SETB. “ET”… need I say more?
I was born with the initials SNS, then in college chose the name Kai so became KSNS (didn’t want to drop my original names and I liked that it looks like kissins’). I just got married a month ago, so my initials will soon be KSNSB… I might have to rethink keeping all names!
My initials are: AMV (previously AMG!) I love both…why? Because they have always made a really pretty scroll monogram. :)
My initials are LMK…which I just now realized is “let me know” in internet shorthand. So thanks, YHL, for helping me to realize that!
My initials are JCL.
My maiden name initials were JCS. All three names had exactly 8 letters. Now, it’s 8, 8 and 7. I was a little disappointed because I’m a little crazy about numbers. :) But I got over it pretty quickly when I realized the name change was a welcome one because I got to spend forever with my soul mate.
My initials are JMG – and I love my initials because I love the way they look when I sign my initials. It’s all loopy and pretty like a flower. :)
My initials were MDT and are now MDC..which rhyme :-). But MC is cool, I can be your host for the night…lol
My initials are MD and when I tell my hunny he needs to rest up when he’s sick, or take his medicine when his ankle starts to hurt, or that he needs to take a break because he works so darn hard he always has to reply “MD stands for Mindy D******** not MEDICAL DOCTOR”
My initials are MNH. I’ve always wished for a vowel…
My initials used to be LBM. My family joked that it stood for Long Bowl Movement. Gross but my family humor nonetheless!
Now they are LBJ, and I love that they are the same as the 37th President who did great things for our country and is considered a legend of sorts here in TEXAS!
EKD
way better than my maiden name initials EKO!
MY INITIALS ARE MW. I like that it’s the same when you flip it upside down.
MY INITIALS ARE DC. I like my initals because when I go to Washington, DC. I can buy pins that say, I love DC! They were made for me.
MY INITIALS ARE GEG. When I was in middle school, some mean kid called me “scrambled egg” because my initials spell egg when “scrambled” :-)
My Intials are NDA…I love them because I just returned to my maiden name
THANKS!!! I can’t believe I won! :) I’ve neverhad to give an acceptance speech before, so I’ll just say YHL rocks and I’m going to buy a couple of different monogrammed cutting boards! :) Thanks Pesterik’s!
ARS!
Thanks YHL and Initial Presents! I haven’t decided what to get yet with my winnings…but I’m loving the ginseng tray and the pear salt&pepper shakers. We are in need of many home accents–so I will definitely be getting something along these lines.
Wahooo! Congrats to both of our luck winners! Enjoy!
