So that’s why we’re so excited about this week’s prize from Amenity Home. Plus, who doesn’t like fun, graphic prints like these to add a little more bedroom ambiance?
Our winner this week will be scoring a Fern Duvet cover in the color and size of their choice. And not only is the print nature-inspired, so is the art behind creating this modern statement for your bedroom. Since Amenity Home is all about organic and earth friendly products, their process uses non-toxic, water-based dyes to print onto 300 thread count organically-grown and organically-processed cotton. It doesn’t get much more pure than that.

We keep herbs in our windowsill, keep the windows open (which also minimizes our use of energy) as much as possible, and use organic fabric and materials whenever possible. Also, we are members of a CSA so we have a very close connection with our food (veggies from a farm only 15 miles away!).

I’M A NATURAL…..I love growing herbs in pretty, ceramic pots. My husband built me a little herb stand out of old, recycled wood. The pots sit on top and are not only fun to watch grow, but delicious to flavor our dinners with!!

My apartment windows are ALWAYS open, even in the winter I open them just a smidge. I have huge windows, I love throwing back the curtains to let in the glorious sun and a pleasant breeze. We don’t have air conditioner, but we are blessed with a 40 foot balcony that stretches the entire length of the unit, from the kitchen to the second bedroom. We spend as much time out there as possible. We covered the icky concrete with white outdoor ikea carpet, and furnished it with ikea patio furniture. We have solar lights in little pots filled with rocks. It is wonderful to watch the sunset out there.
