Fab Freebie: Stamp Of Approval

When The Paper Cafe and Three Designing Women contacted us about doing a giveaway a few weeks back, they were kind enough to send us a sample of the prize: a custom, personalized stamper. At that time, we had no idea how much we would fall in love with the thing. But after using the stylish (not to mention hand-cramp-sparing) stamper on all of our holiday cards, we consider ourselves true fans. And we promise it looks better when our address isn’t all pixelated for privacy reasons. Seriously, we’ve never felt so posh in our lives.
And The Paper Cafe, which also offers a slew of paper goods (stationery, gift tags, notepads, etc) wants TWO of you to experience the joy of choosing and using your own custom stampers made by Three Designing Women. You can pick an address stamper like we did (head over here to browse them now), or even go for another one of their special designs (like stampable bookplates, gift tags, birth announcements, save the dates, etc). Plus you can swap out black for other colored inks if you’re feeling adventurous. And since the things are basically zero-mess, you can stamp ’til your hand gets tired (no ink pad required… these babies are 100% self-inking).
So not only will this week’s pair of winners each be getting a custom stamper and one colored ink replacement, they’ll also score an assortment of other paper goodies that coordinate with their stamper of choice: gift tags, a list pad, note cards and wine hang tags. My favorite personalized item I have is a little newborn hat with my son’s monogram on it that I bought before he was born. I brought it to the hospital and he is sporting the little hat in many of his first pictures. It makes them so special! Especially since his initials spell the first name of his great-grandpa!

My favorite personalized item (new this year) is my family’s embroidered Pottery Barn stockings! I have been eyeing them for years, and after finding a few promo-codes (free shipping, free personalization, 15% off total order) I bought those bad boys on sale for $14.99 each (not including the 15% off)! It made me feel better because mine and my husband’s stockings were cheap-o ones and are now 10 years old, but my three year old’s stocking didn’t even have his name on it! I can’t wait until next Christmas to put them out again!

We have a metal iron piece on our front porch that is personlized. We have a love/hate relationship. I hate that it rattles a bit when someone steps on it but I love that no one will ever be able to sneak on the front porch without my knowledge.

I have a collection of charactertures that I’ve had done over the years whenever I go on vacation. They are so special to me not only because of how cheesy they are, but also because they are a fun momento of vacations and the way my husband and I have changed over the years. They are hanging in our den and are a fun way of personalizing our rented house!

My favorite monograms are probably my kids on their duffle bags, toiletry bags, backpacks, etc. They are both boys and just 16 months apart in age, so they have alot of the exact same items. The monograms help their grandparents, teachers, and even me figure whose “stuff” is whose in a flash.

I have very few personalized items, but one I have loved for years is the engraved Tiffany key chain my brother gave me when I was 16. The key chain fell apart long ago but I have always kept the hangtag with my initials on my key chain until just this weekend (after five years of marriage) I was looking at it during a 1 1/2 hour wait at a locksmith shop (long story) and realized it has my maiden initials on it! Oops!

I would absolutely love these little gadgets!!! Every Valentine's Day, I try to personalize the gift that I am giving my boyfriend of 4 years. The first year we were together, I gave him a ID bracelet with our initials on it. Since then I have personalized a few other things, an ipod and a watch. This year, I have (already)= ) bought him a clip wallet, engraved – "With all my heart" Everytime he pulls it out, he will think of me!!
