Seriously?!
Yesterday we learned that Young House Love was named one of the World’s Best Design Blogs by The London Times when we shockingly noticed our name on their top fifty list. Insanely enough we came in at number twelve. As in, they think we’re the 12th best design blog in the world. Isn’t that kind of mind blowing? We’re still pinching ourselves. And we’re thrilled to be in good company with a slew of stateside and international blogs that we know and love (like Apartment Therapy, Desire To Inspire, Decor8, Design Sponge, Making It Lovely, Chez Larsson, SF Girl By Bay, and Brooklyn Limestone to name a few).

In summary: Ahhhhhhh! We’re nerds. And this made our year.

It is a well-deserved honor. The web is filled with so many design blogs that discuss things that are inaccessible to the average American. It is refreshing to read a blog that offers real, USEFUL design advice/projects. Congratulations! I wish you even more success in 2010!

Congratulations to both of you! I am not surprised at all that you have garnered worldwide recognition. I came across your blog through your BH&G article back in May – I had never read a blog and was immediately hooked. I spent every spare minute over the summer reading every post. It wasn’t until I started looking at other blogs in September that I realized how truly amazing your blog is. I mean, I loved it from the get-go, but until I went elsewhere, I didn’t truly appreciate your streamlined navigation, your beautiful layout and your superb content (as well as your sweet, patient spirit answering every question!). I think your addicted readers could make a very strong case that you deserved a spot higher than 12th in the world!

My only complaint: Your blog should be #1–!! Congratulations–and thanks for not only the inspirational design ideas, but also making us followers feel good every day! As a Brit however I would like to add that it is called The Times…..The London Times does not exist!! I know you were probs trying to differentiate from all the other global Times newspapers but it does grate me when English things are not named properly.

AHHH! So amazing! I went through some of the top blogs that I wasn’t so familiar with and you guys are DEFINITELY number 1 in my eyes! I feel that a lot of your appeal comes from the fact that your blog posts exude your friendly and bubbly personalities. If you’re not a fan, please don’t take it the wrong way, but I’ve described you as the Rachel Ray of interior design :)
And on an unrelated note, I noticed that there is not a computer in sight in any of your house tour posts. Where does the magic of YHL take place?
