Fab Freebie: (Anything But) A White Christmas
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***
We often daydream about having the iconic white Christmas here in Virginia (which is extremely rare in these parts) but after this weekend’s crazy snowstorm it looks like we might actually have one. Or at least a whatever-color-you-call-half-melted-dirty-snow-that-hangs-around-for-a-week Christmas.

But as of today we think you’ll be dreaming of a holiday with a bit more color thanks to Glidden. So yes, as Sunny, Lacey, Travis and Nicole guessed at the end of last week’s giveaway, this week’s prize of “one of our all time favorite items” is indeed paint. In fact, Glidden’s got a gallon for a handful of you in your choice of color and finish so there’s plenty to go around.
And if we haven’t already made it abundantly clear in over two years of blogging: we love Glidden’s colors. From Gentle Tide in our bedroom and kitchen to Sand White in our living room and guest bedroom, we’ve got Glidden’s fantastic hues on almost every wall of our house. And even though we’re sad that some of those colors didn’t make the cut when Glidden revamped their line earlier this year, we totally dig how user-friendly the new lineup of colors are (they even suggest complementary accent hues on the back of each paint swatch). Plus you can easily browse inspiration rooms and coordinating color schemes both in-store and on their web site and they offer tester bottles with built-in brushes for every color. It doesn’t get much more convenient that that.
But enough jabbering. It’s time for the entry details:
- PRIZE: Each winner will receive a voucher to be redeemed at their neighborhood Home Depot for one gallon of Glidden paint in any color and finish of their choice.
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CAN ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what colors are getting you into the holiday spirit this season. Is it the traditional red and green pairing? Unconventional schemes like lavender and silver? Or do you really just have your heart set on that white Christmas concept?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 23rd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: FIVE!
- PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

CAN ME
And no more white Christmases please. This transplanted desert girl had enough with the 3 ft that wouldn’t go away last year.
CAN ME
I’m usually not a fan of red, but I always enjoy a lot of bright bold red around the holidays…
Can ME! Please!
We lost all of our xmas stuff in a move, so this is a “rebuilding” year for us… We did silver, pewter, white, and clear ornaments… so sparkly and pretty!
CAN ME!
We’re into red and green with silver accents. First Christmas together, so we thought traditional would be best. Oh how I love Christmas!
Oh please please please PLEASE will you CAN ME!!!! We are moving into our new rental next week and I have one more room to paint (and no money left in the budget to get it yet!) CAN ME!!!CAN ME!!!CAN ME!!!CAN ME!!!CAN ME!!!CAN ME!!!
CAN ME!! I am very much the traditionalist and am always inspired at Christmastime with the classic greens and reds. Love them! A beautiful white outside (snow and Christmas lights) completes my holiday palette ;)
CAN ME!
The colors that are getting me into the holiday spirit this year are midnight blue and silver with crystal accents.
Can Me! This year its green and gold, but a limey green with a few darker olives thrown in for fun. But there are one or two punches of red too, just to highlight the green. Merry Christmas everyone!

I’m pretty excited about the white Christmas we have going on. We just moved to Richmond from PA and I was a little sad about not getting snow down here.
Can me!
I just painted my living room Gentle Tide, and I’m decorating with lots of white and pops of red….it looks great!

I’ve been on a redecorating binge for the last few months, so Christmas in our house this year is our tree (white lights, typical family ornaments) and a few supa cool Santa’s on the mantel. Yes, that is all!
CAN ME!
Kinda digging on your tropical hued Christmas, but as long as it’s sparkely (lights, metallic bows, glitter, etc), it’s all Christmas to me.
:-)
I’d love to repaint my apartment – been considering a light aqua in the bathroom… not sure which colors for the dining area, but much of the place needs a nice touchup of white paint!
CAN ME!
can me!
just sticking to the classic red and green… but thinking of shopping the sales after christmas to rev up next year’s decor!
Can me! Can me? Can me.
Love the traditional yet festive red and white, with a smattering of (lime) green here and there :)
Can me!
Love natural colors – greens, whites, bark is that even a color?) with tiny pops of red and gold.
Can me! :)
I usually love to decorate with the classic red & green, but this year fell in love with a silver & light blue combo…which goes perfect with all the snowflakes decorations I collect
“CAN ME!!!”
My inspiring colors this Christmas have been glitter and sparkle anything really, purple, turquoise, and white!

CAN ME! I love the traditional red and green (mostly red) with white as an accent. Love our “natural white” outside this year!
