Jen- sorry I thought I had replied back to you. I did not stain the bins, that is how they came. I wonder if Ikea has tweaked their finish a bit since I bought mine? totty

Hey all, I am glad you like the bathroom! Totty and I take a lot of pride in our renovation, and love showing it off to inspire others. To answer the last question about wall faucets, it's really not too difficult. I did these myself. When we rebuilt this house, we did all the water lines in copper, so you'd have to check what your lines are run in. Some newer houses use Pex, or even rubber. Copper requires a bit of "sweating" and "soldering", however, pretty easy to extend the lines up the wall. All we had to do was to take off the old valves, extend the lines up to where you need them, an voila. The faucet kits I used, came with the new valves, so i just soldered those on, dry-walled around them, and screwed in the new faucet. If you were to do a retro fit to your existing plumbing system, you'd definitely have to get in to the wall, so be ready to drywall.

Hey Marmie,

It usually involves a little extra plumbing and hiring an expert, but converting over to two wall faucets can add tons of function and form to your bathroom. We definitely recommend getting a few different estimates to snag the best deal. Hope it helps!

I love this!! I'm super-excited about it because this new layout is pretty much exactly the same as our master bath! How difficult is it to switch to the wall faucets? We currently only have one sink & it would be very helpful to have 2!
