Hey Haley,

If you love a FIRM mattress then two mediums plus soft will be perfect, but since Dunlop latex never softens over time (not even a little) if you're looking for something that's medium firmness go for medium, soft, soft. Our bed is perfect for us but too firm for most people (we're weird, what can we say?). Hope it helps!

Wow, thanks for the quick response. I am leaning towards 2 medium and one soft and a great night's sleep. I spent $$$$$ money on a king "60% latex" mattress about 2 years ago from a local mattress store and it is now wayyyyy to soft. You donlt always get what you pay for!

BTW- I just LOVE your blog and the inspiration it provides! I often think what you guys when I am shopping for home items!
THANKS!

Hey Haley,

We did publish an update about a month into owning our mattress and we still feel exactly the same way. We love it. Wouldn't change a thing. It's actually one of our favorite purchases this year. Nothing has changed so it's still the same supportive yet reasonably soft mattress that we got from the get go. We haven't changed the order of the layers or anything like that, and nothing ever shifts around so it's really low maintenance- just like a regular one-piece mattress.

Our only tip, which we mentioned in the follow up post, was that we suggest going with softer layers than you think you want because Dunlop rubber is naturally very firm, so even though we love a firm mattress, choosing two layers of medium and one layer of soft was the right mix for us. Definitely call to talk with a specialist before picking yours too, just to get that custom fit. Hope it helps!

Hi- I have checked out the Natural Sleep Store site since I am finally in the position to consider a mattress purchase.

Can you PLEASE give another specific update on what you love, would change, surprises you about your latex mattress purchase. Has the firmness changed at all...have you switched layer positioning.
Thanks very very much!

Hey Ana!
Thanks so much! I'll be in touch once I finish painting this pesky fireplace so I can match the tiles better! I have to go buy more paint this morning-- brick sucks up paint like I've never seen!

Thanks!

I will absolutely check out all of your advertisers (I spend a great deal of time already at the glass tile outlet because I very desperately want a beautiful beach glass-inspired backsplash in my kitchen). Being in the publishing industry I know how important advertisers/sponsors are, and I love to see them see results, so I'm off to start clickin'!

Hey Heather,

Just check if the tiles you have your eye on are labeled as "floor tile" or just "wall tile" (some tiles can't stand up to foot traffic, but others can). If that info isn't readily available definitely ask customer service along with inquiring about whether they're mesh-backed (the site should also give you that info). They'd definitely look amazing with your fireplace so we're hoping they're perfect. Good luck!

Do you think thos tiles could be used on the "floor" in front of a fireplace? I'm in the process of painting our fireplace white and I would like to do a simple tile project on the fireplace hearth to cover up the old 60's looking faux stone that is currently residing in that space. Yuck!
Also, is that the tile that has the mesh on the back so all your have to do is basically cut the mesh to size and grout it?

Thanks in advance!
