Fab Freebie: Supper Management
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***
If you’re a busy mom like me – wait, let me start over. If you’re like me and hate grocery shopping, then this week’s giveaway is totally up your aisle. I’ve learned to enjoy cooking, but the chore of making a list, bleeding money at the grocery store and then coming home to find you’ve forgotten the cardamom still drives us to take-out more than we’d like. So imagine my delight when You’ve Got Supper entered our lives.
YGS was started by two busy moms right here in Richmond (holla) and basically does your weekly recipe planning AND grocery list making for you (double holla). Just sign up for their free weekly email for five easy recipe suggestions. Pick the ones you want to make (or add others from their archive) and YGS automatically generates a complete, printable shopping list for you. Basically, my lifesaver. And this week they’re giving away $100 in groceries to one of our lucky readers who just might need some lifesaving in the kitchen too.
We’ve been using them for a while now, and just last week we made three of their meals that we never tried before: Honey Chicken Kebabs, One-Pot Pork Tenderloin and Crispy Potatoes and Creamy Dreamy Mac and Cheese. Here’s that mac and cheese making Burger wish he were human:

And now for this week’s giveaway deets:

- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 4th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the whole wide world!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I WANT SUPPER!
I just roam through the grocery store and grab whatever looks tasty at the time.
I want supper!
Triple holla for supporting local business! I mix things up by taking turns hosting with friends in town. Company + food = fun dinner not so single-girl-style.
I WANT SUPPER!
I love love love the crockpot. I love how you can just throw a bunch of things in in the morning and its ready by supper time.
I WANT SUPPER!
When I want to mix it up I look up new recipes online – I may not be much of a cook but I can follow directions so recipes are life savers (dinner savers?) for me.
I WANT SUPPER! We mix it up by ordering our favorite Mexican for take out :)
I want supper!
I WANT SUPPER!
I love mixing things up by…cooking instead of eating out. :)
I WANT SUPPER!
I’m due with our second child in December so another expectant friend and I each made (doubled) 7 meals and then gave them to each other for our freezers. Now I have 14 meals in the freezer ready to go for nights when cooking just isn’t gonna happen! Oh, and I look forward to friends from church bringing in some meals too. :)
I WANT SUPPER!
My boyfriend and I are kind of lucky, in that his parents and neighbours love getting together on the weekends and doing a sort of neighbourhood potluck… Taco nights are always a big hit, and there’s always some amazing punch and dessert!

I WANT SUPPER
Love this post because this was actually the app I wished for on the iPod give away. Thanks for the insight on this. I will definitely check them out.
I WANT SUPPER!!!!!!!!!!
Currently, to change things up we are doing “Kitchen Clean Out” We are forcing ourselves to use nearly everything in the pantry or fridge because it is getting a bit crowded. Not all of the basic stuff (ex: flour and sugar) but random stuff that we thought we would need but it turns out we didn’t…oops!
I WANT SUPPER. I like to buy a frozen pizza from Trader Joe’s and then add scrumptious toppings like spinach, bacon and mushrooms. Super easy. Supery yummy.
I WANT SUPPER!
My husband’s best go-to dinner is pancakes/waffles.
Honestly not my favorite foods in the entire universe, but heck- if HE makes the dinner, then its the most delicious thing in the world to me! :D
I WANT SUPPER!!!!
My husband and I like to mix it up by creating new dishes out of our normal ingredients on hand. Scrapper dinners at the end of the month when we’re trying to put off a grocery trip as long as possible are always fun nights too
I WANT SUPPER! Considering “mixing it up” is actually cooking something for a change, I can definitely use these suggestions!
I WANT SUPPER! My favorite thing to do for dinner is to go to a restaurant, but this only happens on a rare occasion.
I WANT SUPPER!
Anything that doesn’t involve chicken nuggets or hot dogs is a special dinner for me! (I have a 3-year-old and a 22-month-old.)
I WANT SUPPER
The easiest way (so far) to mix it up for dinner for two busy people with a 3-hour daily commute is to buy part of the meal (like a meat dish) and cook the part that can be done in advance (like potatoes or rice) or in a flash (like steamed or stir-fry veges).
I WANT SUPPER!
I mix up dinner by doing an appetizer tray every once in a while. I whip together a tray including chicken wings, nachos, quesadillas, and veggies and call it dinner. It is super-simple and helps us to avoid the call of our local restaurant’s ample appetizer menu.
I WANT SUPPER
We mix it up by having binner (breakfast for dinner) and eating over each of the parents’ houses once a week.
I WANT SUPPER!
Normally when we’re tired of cooking we’ll order pizza for dinner. It’s easy, fairly fast and it means no dishes to wash…which is awesome for someone in a house without a dishwasher. =)
I WANT SUPPER
I like to take out my old betty crooker cookbook and find a meat recipe and try to make it veggie friendly.
I WANT SUPPER!
I read quite a few cooking blogs so I’m always bookmarking new recipes to try.
I WANT SUPPER!
We mix things up by going out to dinner once in a while. Its a splurge but sometimes we’re just too tired to cook. Plus it qualifies as a date night!
I WANT SUPPER!
We love cooking up Mexican food and having our own little fiestas for dinner.
“I WANT SUPPER”
We have “all day food fests” at work (yeah, you’re pretty much guaranteed to gain weight working here!!). The recipes for the favorites always get passed around.
I WANT SUPPER
I WANT SUPPER! Every so often my neighbor or I find we made too much for dinner so we’ll surprise each other with the “extras.” She recently gave me some yummy beef stew and I sent some scalloped potatoes her way. It’s a great way to be neighborly and, just when you least expect it, someone else has made dinner. Fantastic!
I WANT SUPPER!
We love to have potluck dinners with our friends. We’ve also done a soup swap, which was great!
I WANT SUPPER!
I search online on allrecipes.com to find something different than our normal supper lineup…
I WANT SUPPER!
My friends and I get together twice a month to have dinner. The host handles the main course, and everyone else brings a dish – app, side, dessert, or wine! It’s a great way to eat well and stay caught up with each other. We’re all Top Chef fans so we’re constantly trying to “step it up” and bring culinary masterpieces! :)
I want supper!!
I WANT SUPPER!
I want supper! Seriously; I usually do a bowl of cereal or frozen “for one” pizza. It’s a sad state of affairs.
I WANT SUPPER!!!
My favorite way to mix things up is to not go grocery shopping for awhile. lol It forces me to use up things in my pantry that have been sitting there for who knows how long. I’m forced to actually think about what might taste good together and to take a couple kitchen risks. It doesn’t always work, but it sure does keep things interesting!
I WANT SUPPER!
We plan our meals at the beginning of the week, planning at least 2 meals we cook. And we’ll usually have leftovers 2 nights because we hate to waste food. We waste enough having a 23 month old who likes something one day and then the next day won’t touch it. That covers at least 4 nights.
I WANT SUPPER…
i have to admit, i got really lucky. my boyfriend LOVES to cook, so i’m always well fed because he loves trying out new things. but we try to make cooking something we do together so i’m always in the kitchen with him – sometimes helping, sometimes just watching and being happy i found someone cute who likes to feed me!
I WANT SUPPER!
We get a CSA box every week which always has unusual or different veggies to try.
I WANT SUPPER!!!
Sometimes I just cheat and order Chinese takeout.
I WANT SUPPER!
About twice a month there are 6 of us (3 couples) who get together with food. We usually assign apps, dinner and desert based on who wants to make what. It’s really fun, takes a lot of pressure off cooking and we do get some pretty cool tips and ideas for eachother.
Note, add plenty of wine
I Want Supper!
We love getting together with friends for dinner and once a month have a neighborhood potluck that’s always a blast!
I WANT SUPPER… and $100 in groceries! We love breakfast for dinner! We also love a good crockpot meal!
I WANT SUPPER
I WANT SUPPER!
My brother just bought a house with his new wife a few minutes away and we decided to make dinner for each other once every few weeks to spice things up a bit.
I WANT SUPPER!…I try to make two new dishes a week.
I WANT SUPPER!
lately when I’m in the mood to try a recipe instead of just a boring same-old dinner, I check out http://www.foodgawker.com
Nothing better than amazing pictures of food with recipes linked!
I WANT SUPPER
Grilling out is our favorite way to mix things up.
I WANT SUPPER
I WANT SUPPER!
I’m always making fried rice, poor hubby :( BUT I don’t use oil, just some Pam and it still tastes good! then I add everything I can find, but the kitchen sink!
