Fab Freebie: Supper Management

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you’re a busy mom like me – wait, let me start over. If you’re like me and hate grocery shopping, then this week’s giveaway is totally up your aisle. I’ve learned to enjoy cooking, but the chore of making a list, bleeding money at the grocery store and then coming home to find you’ve forgotten the cardamom still drives us to take-out more than we’d like. So imagine my delight when You’ve Got Supper entered our lives.

YGS was started by two busy moms right here in Richmond (holla) and basically does your weekly recipe planning AND grocery list making for you (double holla). Just sign up for their free weekly email for five easy recipe suggestions. Pick the ones you want to make (or add others from their archive) and YGS automatically generates a complete, printable shopping list for you. Basically, my lifesaver. And this week they’re giving away $100 in groceries to one of our lucky readers who just might need some lifesaving in the kitchen too.

We’ve been using them for a while now, and just last week we made three of their meals that we never tried before: Honey Chicken Kebabs, One-Pot Pork Tenderloin and Crispy Potatoes and Creamy Dreamy Mac and Cheese. Here’s that mac and cheese making Burger wish he were human:

And now for this week’s giveaway deets:

Pssst: Want more free stuff? Head over to Hamburger’s House for his inaugural giveaway because after all of this grocery shopping, it sure would be nice to have some reusable Envirosax shopping bags to carry all that food home in…

I want supper! I like whenever other people cook; usually that means my BF makes dinner for us, which is just fine by me, since I make dinner 90% of the time!

I WANT SUPPER!

I like to search for recipes with ingredients that are ripe in the garden. Yum!

I want supper! I like to go on Food Network and type in my main protein and then search for something new and exciting:-)

I WANT SUPPER!

I come up with my own recipes and scour my many, many cookbooks and online sites for recipes to adapt on a regular basis. I started a recipe/tip/gardening adventure blog called A BUSHEL OF WHAT?!, after my husband and I joined a CSA (Community Sustainable Agriculture) for the season. Check it out for other tasty meal ideas! http://www.abushelofwhat.com/

I want supper!

I’m not much of a cook, but I really love to bake. Cupcakes are my favorite. My husband, on the other hand, really enjoys cooking and has a man-crush on the Take Home Chef. He loves whipping up dinner by just throwing ingredients together. If he thinks it will taste good, he throws it into his concoction, and it usually turns out great!

I WANT SUPPER!

I make it a goal to cook at least 2 dinners each week. Baby steps.

I want Supper!

I love it when our sister-in-law has us for dinner. Even when she just “throws it together” it’s way better than our house. : )

I WANT SUPPER!

Classic lazy way to mix things up in my house is to have breakfast for dinner…and thank gosh the hubby doesn’t mind this at all!

I want Supper! What an amazing service. This is perfect for me because I rarely mix things up for dinner because I do not have the time to plan an entire week’s worth of dinners. This website could be my answer.

I WANT SUPPER!
I’m all about combining leftovers to stretch the yumminess – Last night we had broccoli soup mixed with leftover Indian curry. So easy, so good.

I WANT SUPPER!

I love Friday’s because it is my no cook / husband picks up pizza night.

I WANT SUPPER!! Our favorite fall meal is baked butternut squash with garlic and kale. Yum! Awesome giveaway!

I WANT SUPPER!

I love coming up with random crockpot meals…quick, easy, and usually pretty cheap!

I Want Supper!!!
My mix-it-up-tip is “leftover night”. Sounds boring, but it kills three birds with one stone… 1)everyone is fed, 2) it cleans out my fridge b/f shopping day and 3) I don’t have to cook on a busy night (such as baseball night). Genius….

I want supper! To mix things up, I’m always trying something new, sometimes as many as 3 new recipes a week. I’m a fan of Real Simple’s recipes, ’cause they’re, you know, really simple.

I WANT SUPPER!

My mom & I have been getting together once every two weeks and doing a huge batch of cooking. We make 5-6 main dinner dishes, divide them up and freeze them. As a new mom it’s SO nice not to have to worry about what to make for dinner each night!

I WANT SUPPER!!

My fave way to switch it up is to….ORDER TAKE OUT!! :)

I WANT SUPPER!

Mixing up dinner….that is a good thought! We usually don’t do enough planning and end up going out way more than we should. I love to scope out new recipes though. I’m hoping that this would give me a good jump start to truly mix it up!

I want supper!

I love reading food blogs and getting recipes from the food network.

I WANT SUPPER … please :)

to mix things up for dinner, my fiance and I will eat a smallish snack and then go to our favorite coffee and dessert place! I LOOOVEE anything sweet for any meal ;)

I WANT SUPPER! I love exchanging favorite recipes with friends to mix things up.

I WANT SUPPER!!!!

I mix it up by trying a new recipe from one of the many blogs I read! Too much food… too little time! :)

I WANT SUPPER! I’m trying to use the crockpot more so that’s my latest way of “mixing it up”

I want supper! I think the breakfast for dinner idea happens about once a week at our house. My mom’s buttermilk pancake recipe is quick and easy. Yum!

I WANT SUPPER!

I am in a dinner-rut right now, so this website should be great! I have several recipes that we love, but we are getting tired of them!

I WANT SUPPER!

Super gourgeous idea :)

Rita from Milan – Italy

I Want Supper! Perty please =)

My favorite way to mix up dinner a bit is to try something new off Pioneer Woman’s site. She has lots of great family friendly yummy things. Try the crash potatoes or lasagna!

I WANT SUPPER…I love a good recipe exchange!

I WANT SUPPER!

We mix it up by letting ME cook instead of my husband. Always a scary adventure!

I WANT SUPPER! I eat a lot of leftovers, (one big cooking = 5 nice small meals), so whenever I eat something I know I won’t be having for the next week gets me pretty excited.

I WANT SUPPER!

My favourite thing is trying ethnic recipes. My favourites include thai and indian inspired ones. I’m not a big meat eater so I love that ethnic foods have many different options including seafood, beans, and tofu.

I WANT SUPPER!

I go back to old recipes that my Mom served as a kid…soup and grilled cheese, sloppy joes and casseroles! My husband didn’t grow up w/ condensed soup or casseroles, poor deprived child. So those are always a favorite too.

I want supper! What a fabulous idea, I will definitely be trying it. My favorite way to mix it up is to cook new things on the grill. The other day we warmed up some leftover pizza on the grill and it was heaven.

I WANT SUPPER!
I like to try a new recipe at least once a week.

I want supper!
Cereal for dinner!

I Want Supper! I mix it up by cooking from different blogs…The Pioneer Woman, 101 Cookbooks, Everybody Likes Sandwiches, The Wednesday Chef, The Amateur Gourmet, Food on the Food, there are so many good ones! I keep a three ring binder full of recipes I’ve printed out and go to it for inspiration.

I Want Supper! I like to watch foodnetwork so when I’m in the mood for something different, I’ll find the recipe to something on one of the previous shows I watched and try making it! I just watched Rachel Ray make a fettuccine alfredo with a citrus twist in it that I can’t wait to try!

I want supper! Our favorite meal is pasta with olive oil and lemon….so easy, so yummy! Sometimes I mix it up and add some fresh parm cheese.

I WANT SUPPER and I want my darling hubby to make it for me. :) My favorite supper he makes is gourmet grilled cheese with tomatoe soup. yumm

I WANT SUPPER!

We’re always trying new recipes we find on the internet. I love allrecipes.com for new recipe ideas.

I WANT SUPPER! We enjoy breakfast for dinner sometimes.

I WANT SUPPER!!

YUMMY

I WANT SUPPER!!

I hate grocery shopping. I don’t mind the cooking part and I totally don’t mind the eating part. But the shopping always puts me in a bad mood. My favorite thing to cook is anything in the crockpot.

I want Supper!

I received a bunch of cookbooks for my wedding shower, but my favorite is a binder my aunt made with all of our favorite family recipes. Cooking with those recipes always brings back memories!

I WANT SUPPER!
I have a standing date with a friend for Wednesday nights. One week she’ll come over and I cook and the next I’ll go to her place and she’ll cook.

I WANT SUPPER!

i love dropping in at my dad’s. he always has something cooking!

I WANT SUPPER!!
I get my fiancee or his brother, the chef to cook for me – cookies and chocolates any time of the day is a major plus from knowing a chef, too! ^___^

I WANT SUPPER!

um, ordering in!

“I want supper”

As a working (teacher) mom, dinner is hard to come by. My co worker and I take turns making big pots of soup or roast and split it!

“I WANT SUPPER!!!”

Weelllll… you see, I don’t cook as much as I should!! Being a single gal living on my own doesn’t make me want to run into the kitchen and make supper when I get home from work.. so I usually just munch on.. something! My boyfriend is an excellent cook and makes dinner for me occasionally, and I eat at my parents or sister’s house – basically speaking, I bum off of anyone I can when it comes to eating supper! But I could make all these people a big dinner as a way to show my appreciation with $100 in free groceries! Thanks guys!
