Fab Freebie: Outside In

If you guys haven’t heard of papernstitch before, you’ve gotta check it out. It’s another great online source for handmade art (prints, photos, knits, etc) that’s curated monthly to exhibit a fresh crop of handpicked artists for you to shop and draw inspiration from. This week, papernstitch is giving away a set of four photographic prints from one of their favorite photographers: Allison Trentelman of Rocky Top Studio. Allison is a nature photographer whose snowy birds and forest floor photo collections almost feel like they were shot in some fairy tale world (actually the Maine coast – but we still wouldn’t be surprised to spot a nymph or two in the background). We love that they let you bring both a bit of nature and lighthearted whimsy to your walls.
So here’s how you can score a dose of outdoors for your indoors this week:

I’m an Biology teacher-in-the-making (only have student teaching in the spring before I get my M.A.T and license), so this giveaway is right up my alley.
I love being outdoors, and hopefully I’ll be able to bring that into my classroom. The summer I spent doing research surveying several ponds in George Washington National Forest was one of the best summers of my life. The bugs, spiders, gnats, and other minor inconveniences were nothing compared to the beautiful birds, interesting snakes, and of course, the too-cute salamanders we were researching. Definitely in the top 3 experiences during my entire college career.
Though, of course, it was always wonderful to come home, shower, and curl up with a book. Nothing beats a great day spent outside, followed by a relaxing, CLEAN evening spent inside!

Love working on projects in the c1855 house. Of course the last few weekends I have been outside getting ready for next spring.
Outside please…hanging out on our boat on the ocean, playing with my kids at the park, mini hikes, love the outside unless it is freezing cold then I am inside.
