Fab Freebie: Outside In

If you guys haven’t heard of papernstitch before, you’ve gotta check it out. It’s another great online source for handmade art (prints, photos, knits, etc) that’s curated monthly to exhibit a fresh crop of handpicked artists for you to shop and draw inspiration from. This week, papernstitch is giving away a set of four photographic prints from one of their favorite photographers: Allison Trentelman of Rocky Top Studio. Allison is a nature photographer whose snowy birds and forest floor photo collections almost feel like they were shot in some fairy tale world (actually the Maine coast – but we still wouldn’t be surprised to spot a nymph or two in the background). We love that they let you bring both a bit of nature and lighthearted whimsy to your walls.
So here’s how you can score a dose of outdoors for your indoors this week:

“OUTSIDE PLEASE!!!”
I love to be outside! Whether it be on the Carolina beaches or the Appalachian mountains, the Oregon coast or the Arizona desert, floating down the “riva” or gliding down a water slide, I’m there. Gimme my hicking boats or a towel and beach chair and I’m in heaven.
INSIDE PLEASE….
bring on the shopping, book reading, and cuddling with my baby boy!
Outside please! I sit at a computer all day long for work so anything outside is better!

Outside sometimes and inside sometimes please! I love hiking and bicycling, but I also love to sit and read in front of the fireplace. So both!

Depends on the season, really. Spring, summer, and fall are perfect for an outdoor adventure, but during winter in the Northeast I’m happy to spend some time indoors, curled up with a good book and my husband.
Outside please! Especially because I’m a runner, I like to be out in the elements.

I’m most comfortable preparing a homey kind of meal (meatloaf, pasta, roast chicken) and hunkering down with the hubby on the couch for a movie marathon. At least during these chilly November days!

OUTSIDE PLEASE! As a Canadian forced to spend 5 months of the year indoors due to snowstorms and freezing temps, as soon as things start to warm up I am outside in my garden or on our back deck soaking it all in. Even on a warmer winter day, I love going out for a snowy walk with my dog. Outside is where it’s at!

Outside Please — in Ohio’s spring, summers & gorgeous fall seasons. But Inside Please in Ohio’s winters when I much prefer looking out the window at the snow.
Inside please – wishing I was outside. I am a law student always stuck inside the library, gazing out the window at the joggers, dog-walkers, and undergrads. But, it will be worth it, right? Let’s hope so!

Nothing is better than a walk in the sun or a fall bonfire, but I’ll trade a tent and a sleeping bag, for a comfy couch and a movie before any one can dig their first toilet.

OUTSIDE PLEASE! With the perfect Miami weather, we use our outside rooms year round and keep the house completely open to blur the lines between inside and out.
