I’ll Stop The World & Felt With You Freebie Winner!
Thanks for taking a felt-inspired musical trip back to the 1980s with us as part of this week’s giveaway from Eleni Creative. Probably one of my all time favorite things from that decade is Sherry, since she (and I) are both eighties babies. Although I’m sure our nurseries didn’t have anything as (here’s that word again…) adorable as Eleni’s custom felt mobiles or Zoonie stuffed animals.
But now that we’re two decades into the future, one lucky person will be getting a free playful felt creation or two for their nursery, kid’s room or anywhere else they’re looking to inject some fun into their decor. And even if you’re not that fortunate lady or lad this week, Eleni Creative is offering free shipping in the US to all YHL readers! Just email in your order with the code “younghouse” through Thanksgiving to get in on the fun.
Back to the matter at hand: the winner. Random.org and I hobnobbed last night and he told us that our random winner is… Amy (lover of great 80’s hits like: Sweet Dreams, Fast Car and Time After Time). Congrats! So what’ll it be- a custom mobile or two zoonies? Do tell.
And I probably don’t need to remind you that we’ve got another freebie lined up for Monday. But I will say it could be a date to remember for one of you (yes, that’s a clue)…

Woo hoo and thank you! I’d like to thank John and Sherry and Helen from Eleni Creative. We’re definitely going with a mobile for my little boys room, not sure exactly what yet. My husband likes the rockets, but I think those zoonie bees would be cute on a mobile, or maybe the elephants if that’s possible. His room is currently green but is on its way to cream walls.
I’ve written a haiku in celebration of the occasion.
Modern English pun
searching YouTube for music
and I get felt up.
I am very excited to get working on the mobile for Amy. I’m sure we can translate the zoonie to the mobile. Love the idea of the bee being on a mobile! I think that would be super cute for a little boy.
And, thank you to John and Sherry for getting felty this week. I look forward to helping Young House Love followers bring a unique and fun look to a room.
Keep thinking felty thoughts!
Helen
Hey Erin,
Haha, nope I’m back. Just posted a Design Dilemma. Although I do wish I was on an exotic beach…

Congratulations Amy! Any freebie alluding to the 80s is a sure winner in my book. I can’t think of one second when my Sirius radio isn’t tuned to the Big 80s with all of the “young” MTV VJs (Nina, Mark, Alan, and Martha). I enjoyed the Haiku, too!
Congrats to the winner!
Sherry & John – this reminded me of Burger (and you) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=29502434
I received my mobile last weekend and it is sooooo awesome! I will send pictures after I get my act together. SO many projects on the drawing board right now.

I love all of your ‘fair’ photos! :) The candy art is neat, but I have to say the ducks were super cute! We have a nearby public park/lake nearby with swans and ducks with a jogging path around it and I try to see them as often as I can, they are so precious. In July I loved seeing the baby swans-too adorable for words!
Now I’m craving funnel cake with strawberries!
