Fab Freebie: Timeframes
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***
I’m big on dates. Weird numbers like that seem to stick in my head very easily – not just our wedding anniversary or blog anniversary, but half birthdays, days I started jobs, first days of school, etc. Heck, Sherry probably gets tired of me saying things like “You know where we were this time two years ago?”
But that weird quirk of mine is what makes this week’s giveaway from frame the [date] right up my alley. They know that there are people like me who savor certain month-day-year combos that mark a special (or especially random) event in their lives. So their custom number-tastic photographs framed in beautiful hardwood frames offer a great way to commemorate an anniversary, birthday or – I dunno – the day your chihuahua graduated from obedience class.
They also offer an option to include a photo representing that special day (think wedding photo along with wedding date). Plus, we love that their handmade exotic wood frames are all harvested using eco-friendly processes.
So you wanna get your hands on a framed date? Here’s how:
- PRIZE: One custom framed date – you pick the date, frame and whether or not you want an event photo included.
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DATE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: Tell us about your most memorable date. No, not a day of the year – we wanna know about the most romantic (or perhaps the weirdest, most disastrous date) you’ve ever been on.
- CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, October 7th at 8pm EST
- WINNER: Only one, but stay tuned for a special discount for everyone
- PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere. Get in on the fun international peeps!
- THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

DATE ME!
I’d love to get our wedding date – 8/16/08 – framed. We had some major crises pre-wedding (bridemaids dress burned in a house fire, florist lost the special order vases, wedding cake vendor realized they couldn’t deliver to our reception location less than three days before the big day), but the day itself could not have gone any better! :)
Date Me!
Most awkward way to be asked out on a date: Being drug tested to start a new job, and asked if I wanted to go out sometime by the technician…while I was holding my urine sample in my hand. I stalled and waited to say no AFTER he cut a chunk of my hair to be tested- don’t want an angry tech with scissors!
DATE ME!!
My most romantic date took place on May 15, 2006 at 7pm in the evening, when my husband proposed to me in Venice, Italy. He’d planned the whole trip by himself and surprised me with it, and after walking around all day looking for the perfect spot he finally found it; just as he proposed and I said yes, church bells all over the city started to chime. It was easily the most amazing romantic week-long date of my life.
DATE ME! I would go with my wedding date 10-16-04…I know, corny, but I need the reminder! And since the date is almost here it owuld make an awesome gift!!
DATE ME! The best date was the first with my hubby. We played hookie from work and went to an amusement park. We had such a great time and have been together ever since.
DATE ME!
I think the most romantic date I’ve had wasnt really a date at all. My now husband and I were walking around downtown Ruston, La getting to know each other. That night I looked at him and just new he was the one. Now we’re official!
DATE ME!
My most memorable date, was the one and only date I had with Paolo, an Italian guy I met the week before I was returning home from studying in Florence, Italy. We made plans to meet on the Ponte Vecchio the next day before he returned to Milan. We had lunch in a little cafe and then spent the afternoon in the Boboli Gardens. He spoke very little English and I spoke only a few words of Italian, but with some crazy arm waving and hand gestures we talked about everything under the sun, joked about much nonsense and stole some very memorable kisses :-D
DATE ME :) My wedding date stands out as most special to me :) October 4, 2008
Date me!
Most romantic date: the night my husband proposed at the restaurant where we had our first date.
Date me!!
Not being married, and not wanting to jinx the future with our dating anniversary, I probably wouldn’t use anything romantic.
So 4.16.07 is what I would use. I think you guys will remember that day.
DATE ME!!! This is such a fun giveaway! One of my best dates was when my husband (my boyfriend at the time) and I went to Best Buy and we gave each other 15 minutes and a $20 limit and we had to get something for the other person. We met back at the car and he had gotten me a fabulous Elton John CD because he knows how much I love EJ and I got him a game for his Playstation 2…it was fun and we enjoyed seeing how well we could choose a random gift based on what we knew about each other!
Date me! My most romantic date, I’m still waiting on it.
Date me!
I have a couple of memorable dates, but I think the most memorable will occur this December when my son is born.

4.10.10
Our upcoming wedding day- the 6 month countdown is this Saturday!! AH!
Date Me!
Worst date was in high school. Picked up to go “out to eat”. He drove through a fast food drive through and didn’t even ask if I wanted anything to eat! Needless to say it was the first and last date! Hopefully he has learned since then.
Date Me!!
“DATE ME”
“DATE ME!” Any date involving sushi, Vietnamese pho, or Indian food is da bomb! :)
Date Me!
Date Me! One of my most memorable dates was meeting my (now) husband at the Auburn/Ole Miss football game when we were in school!
Date Me!
The worse first date was a blind date. After dinner we meet my sister for a drink because she was in town. The guy made the most inappropriate comments in front of my younger sister! Ewwww!
Date Me!
For my birthday last year my boyfriend took me out for a romantic date. He first took me to a new restaurant for dinner. Then we got hot donuts at Krispy Kreme (my favorite treat) and took them to a house that had an awesome Christmas lights show (my bday is right after Christmas.) It was so romantic and thoughtful!
Date me! Most memorable is the first date with my now husband. Nothing fancy, dinner and movies, but the whole night is so clear. Especially the kiss and run he pulled when getting out of my car. So awkward and silly then but adorable and endearing now.

DATE ME!My Husband and I went out on what would be our first real date on 11/11/77. We wandered NY city, ate street food and ended up steaming up the windows of his Volkswagen Beetle. We married 2 years later but I consider that day our real anniversary.
DaTe Me!!!
My most memorable date wasn’t that long ago. In April, my then boyfriend took me on a picnic. This was a fairly common thing for us to do, except at this point I was starting to hope for more than just a regular old date (read: proposal). So he took me to our regular place on this beautiful day… and I was getting all nervous and excited hoping that this was IT! While we are eating, he leans over to the cooler and says, “I’ve got something for you.”. Well of COURSE I thought it was a shiny something… instead he pulls out strawberries! wa wa. I mean they are my favorite fruit, but come on! About a week later we went on another picnic and he proposed. He then told me that the first picnic was just a decoy to make me less suspicious. He also said that seeing my shocked (in a not so good way) face the first picnic after he pulled out the strawberries was worth all the effort because he definitely got me good! He knows me too well. But I’ll definitely say the proposal was much more memorable. I’ll never forget it. :) I’d love the “frame the [date]” for our wedding date!
DATE ME :)!! I once went on a blind date in highschool, a friend’s boyfriend had a friend they wanted me to meet. We went iceskating at a local rink and I did not know that the guy could not skate at all. Needless to say I spent the majority of the time picking him off the ice and I even cut him with my skate. He never called me :)
DATE ME!
A few years ago when I was in college (ok, maybe more than a few), my boyfriend(now husband) and a friend of ours who was dating another friend of ours sent us on the craziest scavanger hunt all through the town of Ft. Collins, but we ended up at the most romantic date of our lives. While the boys were prepping for the big finale, us girls were sent from park to house to tree to bicycle routes and finally to our car to drive ourselves to the biggest surprise of all. We ended up at the ice arena where my friend’s boyfriend worked. We made our way to the entrance and walked in to find Stevie Wonder on the speakers, a table in the middle of the ice rink with a red carpet leading out to it. The boys were in the back fixing dinner (Shrimp Scampi!) so my friend and I walked out on the red carpet and sat down. The boys came out dressed head-to-toe in vintage 70′s suits. It was priceless. An evening of laughter, delicious dinner and a date on an ice rink that I will never forget!

DATE ME!
I was taken on a date to a Coke machine once. It was in high school and I’ve been teased about it ever since. :)
DATE ME!
My weirdest date was in high school for the Military Ball Junior year. Apparently a guy wanted to ask me but never did, so his friend asked me and then they planned to switch dates at the dance! Whoa!
My most romantic day was the morning my husband proposed to me during “Pimp My Ride.” It doesn’t sound romantic, but it was!
date me!!!!
My now husband tried to take me on a late night picnic once…he went to the grocery store and picked out some different little treats…unfortunately, he forgot glasses, utensils, and most importantly, a bottle opener. And it was very cold out. But very sweet of him, to say the least (PS he’s gotten MUCH better at planning dates since)
DATE ME! Our wedding day…November 3, 2007! Best day (actually weekend)ever, when else do you have all the people you love in one place. What a great memory! It made me so sad when the weekend was over I couldn’t even talk about the wedding weekend for awhile. Now I love thinking about that weekend & how fun it was!
DATE ME!
My first date with my hubby was more of a hook-up…we hung out at a club listening to a band we love. But we both new from that night on that we were going to be together. 10 years and 2 beautiful sons later, we are going strong. AND, we have tons of black and white photography in our home and would LOVE to add one of these lovely framed dates.
Date Me! November 23, 2007…my husband and I were on our honeymoon in Cabo. It was Thanksgiving Day & obviously we were not with the family. We had gone deep sea fishing earlier in the day & I had caught a huge tuna. That night we drove our four wheeler (our only mode of transportation) down the beach by the moonlight to this tiny little restaurant & had the ladies in the kitchen prepare our tuna. It might have been one of our best dates ever!
Date Me! My most memorable date was when I had just started dating my husband, i was trying to impress him by jumping over something and the back of my jeans split in two! Talk about mortifying…he still laughs about it to this day!
DATE ME!!! (I forgot to write it above).
