Fab Freebie: Timeframes
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***
I’m big on dates. Weird numbers like that seem to stick in my head very easily – not just our wedding anniversary or blog anniversary, but half birthdays, days I started jobs, first days of school, etc. Heck, Sherry probably gets tired of me saying things like “You know where we were this time two years ago?”
But that weird quirk of mine is what makes this week’s giveaway from frame the [date] right up my alley. They know that there are people like me who savor certain month-day-year combos that mark a special (or especially random) event in their lives. So their custom number-tastic photographs framed in beautiful hardwood frames offer a great way to commemorate an anniversary, birthday or – I dunno – the day your chihuahua graduated from obedience class.
They also offer an option to include a photo representing that special day (think wedding photo along with wedding date). Plus, we love that their handmade exotic wood frames are all harvested using eco-friendly processes.
So you wanna get your hands on a framed date? Here’s how:
- PRIZE: One custom framed date – you pick the date, frame and whether or not you want an event photo included.
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DATE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: Tell us about your most memorable date. No, not a day of the year – we wanna know about the most romantic (or perhaps the weirdest, most disastrous date) you’ve ever been on.
- CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, October 7th at 8pm EST
- WINNER: Only one, but stay tuned for a special discount for everyone
- PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere. Get in on the fun international peeps!
- THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

Date Me!!!!
My most memorable date was my first date with my husband. He took me to the drive in and brought a bottle of white wine, two wine glasses, and chocolate dipped strawberries he had dipped himself. I knew he was a keeper!
Date Me! My most memorable date was the day my husband and I bought our house. It was a very simple date… a few glasses of wine and hanging curtains in every room of the house.
DATE ME!
Hmm, my most memorable date…I think it would have to be the time I went to the movies with a guy then we got milkshakes and rode on a carousel. Made me feel like a kid again! :)
DATE ME! Most memorable recent date was our anniversary date for the third year. We couldn’t do our typical vacation/weekend get away so we decided to stay in town and went to the melting pot. It was awesome! We had our own private booth that we were able to close ourselves off from everyone else with a private red velvet drape. It was very romantic. So, I would definetly throw in the number 22 to signify our Anniversary in October.

DATE ME!
Not so much my most memorable date..but the weirdest thing to happen – I was on a date with this guy and he asked what we should do next (after dinner) we started driving and I said lets go get ice cream. He looks at me and says “thanks, I am lactose intollerant”….what the heck?!?! How was I supposed to know that?
We did end up getting ice cream (he did too) and as we dated for a couple years after that – despite the intollerance he always ate ice cream. I guess he just wanted me to feel bad – awesome first date :(

“DATE ME”
My first date with my husband was a blind date that I wasn’t sure I really wanted to go on, but I did and it turned out to be the best first date ever. Never in a million years did I think we would get married one day!
DATE ME! My most recent romantic date was when my husband took me away for a surprise trip to NYC to see Phantom on the Opera on Broadway – it was a romantic weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday. My husband does romantic stuff all the time – not just on dates. Like leaving me love notes in the morning:

Date Me!!
most romantic date…after a long day of traveling my boyfriend and i followed our GPS to 2 chickfila deadends, we finally ended up at a chickfila an hour later, while we were eating in the car our song came on the radio! good ending to a long day!
DATE ME!! The most memorable date was welcoming my husband (at that time, fiance) home from his 4 year military commitment!! Not only did he come home on that date, he moved in, and we officially started planning the rest of our lives together :) I’ll never forget the picture of him rolling up my driveway in his vehicle, packed to the roof with everything he owned, and in civilian clothes!! He’s now all mine!!
Date Me! My weirdest date was my first date with my husband. It was a blind date and a 3 day camping trip. I am SO not a camper. Luckily he was charmed by me. We have been together ever since (almost 10 years)!
DATE ME!
My most romantic date was my engagement lunch. My boyfriend proposed to me in my work lobby in order to completely surprise me. I left work and we had lunch at our favorite sushi restaurant. Since it was a Monday at lunch, we had the restaurant all to ourselves…it was awesome.

DATE ME!
My boyfriend took me on a surprise trip to a national park, where we climbed snowy mountains and then relaxed back at a beautiful bed and breakfast.
DATE ME!! 11-06-2004 The date my husband and I tied the knot. It was a beautiful 70 degree day in Indiana (very nice for November). We got married in the afternoon, took beautiful pictures among the colorful fall foliage, and danced the night away at our wedding reception. It was the most wonderful day and I am glad that 5 years later we are still living like newlyweds.
DATE ME! I had a guy continually ask me out for dog-walking dates…we didn’t do anything else, just walked his dog. It didn’t last long.
“DATE ME!”
The most disastrous date ever was when I was 18 years old and went out with a guy from my neighborhood. The first awful sign was that he made his MOM drive. The sad thing is I had a car, so I easily could have been the driver that night. But no, he wanted on his mom to drive. Lets just say that the date ended up being a date with him and his mother. He also insisted that I sit in the back with him. I felt like I was 13 years old all over again.
To make the date even better. After the date he decided he was going to lean in for a kiss. He blew right into my mouth. I was his first kiss and he did’t know how to!!!
We never talked again. It was awful.
DATE ME!
My first date with my husband is one neither of us will forget. We both happened to be adjusting to some life changes (me with college and him with a new job), and in turn we both had a few dances with insomnia. So when we were starting out in this relationship, one night when neither of us could sleep, we decided a walk in the park sounded like a good idea. Well, there is a silent community law in our city that says no visitors in the park after midnight (for good reason, I understand)..but it’s not posted anywhere! SO while we were enjoying our lonely walk in the park (and yes, we were JUST walking!), some not-so-friendly police officers escort us back to his car and write us $80 tickets (each!) for being in the park after hours. Hello, put up a sign! Needless to say, we keep out of the parks these days….we can walk in our neighborhood for free!
Date me!
My best dates have been the ones when my hubby and I have traveled to other countries.
DATE ME!
8/30/2009
DATE ME! Best date ever… an extravagant celebration of dating my boyfriend (now hubby) for 3 months. We went way overboard, but it was the most fun… and when people asked what we were celebrating, their confused looks (“only 3 months?!?”) were priceless!
DATE ME!
I love to date my pictures. I forget otherwise.
Date me! My most memorable date was the first with my husband. He had just shaved his head, which was an improvement from the mohawk he was sporting earlier that day, but not that much better. We went to see a movie and he kissed me goodnight. Not the most memorable, but since we had been friends for two years leading up to this moment it was huge!
DATE ME!
Most memorable date: first date with my now husband – we were set up on a blind date!
Date Me!! I would say as far as my favorite date…I think that would be my first date night with my husband after our daughter was born. We went to dinner, the comedy club and then made a quick stop for Brandy Alexanders at a local bar (mmm). So, nothing too romantic. It was just that different feeling of going out not only as husband and wife but as parents, how cute it was that we both missed her and how great it felt to have those moments to spend with eachother as well.
DATE ME!!!
My most memorable date was when our first son joined our family 3 months early- as a 2 lb.8 oz. bambino- He’s now a perfectly healthy & rowdy (almost) 3 year old and an awesome older brother. We’re so blessed!
DATE ME!!!
DATE ME!
My most memorable date would be 7-4-08 our wedding anniversary and, yes the Fourth of July!
I love these timeframes!
DATE ME! Polishing off an entire bottle of wine with my new husband, sitting right at the base of a Roman obelisk as night was falling on our last night in Rome (and last day of our honeymoon!). We relished drinking in public a bit too much. :)
“DATE ME” I can pick one, the births of my two children are the most memorable dates in my life!
DATE ME!
I think my most memorable date would be the one when my husband and I made our relationship “official”… we were at a semi-formal for his organization and got bored. So we spent the evening walking around downtown Austin. He’d been ready to make us official for a couple weeks. We stopped on a street corner for some smooching and I told him I was ready to be his girlfriend. Very special night for us!
Date me!
The first date with my wife started with a text message and ended up in the garden section of Walmart on some lawn furniture. We have yet to buy lawn furniture for our new house (but the text messages keep getting better).
DATE ME!
My most memorable date was the day my husband proposed to me, which happened to be the same day we first started dating AND the same day we got married. In different years, of course!
DATE ME!!!!
our first date date. Because this time every year, we have a disagreement about the actual date of out first date. This would be great.
DATE ME!
My most memorable date was probably when my now-husband took me ice skating when we went to visit his family one weekend in college. So fun!
“DATE ME!”
9-19-04 best day ever!
Date Me!
Most memorable was January 2nd, 2004. The day my husband first asked me for a date in the most romantic way and our lives were never the same!
DATE ME!
My most memorable date was the night my husband proposed. It was so casual (the way we are), that I had no idea it was coming, it was an amazing night.
Date ME! Now that I am married it’s fun to remember those fun years of dating. One of the weirdest dates I have been on was one where the guy would not eat anything. He was basically anorexic and ate the lettuce out of his salad while I dug in to a big plate of pasta. Needless to say I did not marry that guy, who ever heard of a guy who doesn’t eat?
“DATE ME!”
DATE ME! 7-22-05 and 10-28-08 are my two favorite dates. The first is our wedding date and the second is the date we closed on our first home! (happiest days of my life) :)
Date Me!
One of my most memorable dates was actually going to prom! It turned out the guy I was going with was a creep and I spent the night trying to get away from him!
Date me!
My most memorable date was my first date with my husband. We went on a 2 hour long motorcycle ride with a break in the middle for hot chocolate and get-to-know-you conversations. From that one night, I was hooked.
DATE ME! my first date with my husband and we still celebrate it every year! He took me to the Frick collection then up to St. John the Divine. He knew I liked architecture and art.
DATE ME! My most memorable date is my wedding of course! Well three weeks before and after our our wedding. We got married in Italy at a villa an hour east of Florence with our closest friends and family. It was a blast to say the least!
DATE ME!! These are sooo cute!
My most memorable date was my first date with my husband. We didn’t do anything out of the ordinary…just dinner and a movie. I just remember being so wowed by him and already thinking how perfect we were together. No other guy had made my heart beat like he did.
“DATE ME” 37 years of marital bliss.
Date me! I want one for our bedroom!
One of my most memorable dates was the day we moved out or our condo. We had moved most everything out, but grabbed some Burger King for lunch and sat on the floor of our bare living room. We were excited about the new house we bought, but enjoyed our last meal in the condo, remembering fun times.
Date me!
My most memorable date was when the guy I was dating made me dinner. It was our second or third date and he grilled while I made the rest. It was so comfortable and fun!
