Fab Freebie: Timeframes
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***
I’m big on dates. Weird numbers like that seem to stick in my head very easily – not just our wedding anniversary or blog anniversary, but half birthdays, days I started jobs, first days of school, etc. Heck, Sherry probably gets tired of me saying things like “You know where we were this time two years ago?”
But that weird quirk of mine is what makes this week’s giveaway from frame the [date] right up my alley. They know that there are people like me who savor certain month-day-year combos that mark a special (or especially random) event in their lives. So their custom number-tastic photographs framed in beautiful hardwood frames offer a great way to commemorate an anniversary, birthday or – I dunno – the day your chihuahua graduated from obedience class.
They also offer an option to include a photo representing that special day (think wedding photo along with wedding date). Plus, we love that their handmade exotic wood frames are all harvested using eco-friendly processes.
So you wanna get your hands on a framed date? Here’s how:
- PRIZE: One custom framed date – you pick the date, frame and whether or not you want an event photo included.
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DATE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: Tell us about your most memorable date. No, not a day of the year – we wanna know about the most romantic (or perhaps the weirdest, most disastrous date) you’ve ever been on.
- CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, October 7th at 8pm EST
- WINNER: Only one, but stay tuned for a special discount for everyone
- PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere. Get in on the fun international peeps!
- THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

DATE ME! 6-20-09 is our wedding date! That was the happiest day of our lives!
DATE ME!
my most memorable date was actually “not a date.” i had driven to memphis from kansas city to get away from a 2-months-prior bad breakup for the weekend and to see an old friend from summer camp, pete. the first day in memphis we went out for lunch at young avenue deli, visited the brooks museum (where i was already starting to wish he’d hold my hand already), went to beale street and sat in the grass listening to some local blues, had a glass of wine at the peabody hotel, and hung out with friends. it was 9.21.07, and we’ve been dating ever since! i now live in memphis with him, our dog gibb, and our cat patsy.
DATE ME!!
Our most memorable date is our wedding day.
“DATE ME!” The day my son was born. 5/7/99

DATE ME!
I suppose my most memorable date was when I met my husband in person (we actually met online) for the first time. I was 30 minutes late because I was stuck on the other side of the road due to a parade. Neither of us had any idea what the other looked like and I was so nervous that I ended up drinking way too much wine and chatting his ear off all night. Who would have thought…
Our second child is due next week.
DATE ME!
07/08/06 is my most memorable date, our wedding day :)
DATE ME!
My most unique/romantic date experience was with my (now) husband. We spent the morning together, riding around in his sports car…and then while taking it through a car wash later on, he proposed to me!
DATE ME!
I think the most memorable “date” for my husband and I was the first night on our honeymoon…we went to a fancy French restaurant and had a delicious meal, then walked on the beach in the moonlight afterwards. It was romantic and we were sooo giddy to be married!
oh, and my most memorable date was a fire alarm going off during a movie in a theater– when does that happen!?
Date me! My most memorable date was my first date with my husband. We were both so nervous to hold hands…crazy, but true:-)
DATE ME! My most memorable date was 10/13/04…my first date with my husband. We went for a run around a 3.5 mile cove. He suggested it because I had told him that I was a runner. Unfortunately he was not a runner…so we didn’t make it too far before he had to ask if we could walk for a bit =)
Date Me- I am getting married Saturday! We picked 10.10.09 becasue we loved the date :)
DATE ME!
Watching a meteor show at 3 am.
DATE ME!!!
DATE ME!
My most memorable date was my first real date with my husband. He taught me how to drive his stick-shift car east of Richmond, and we ultimately found ourselves on Historic Route 5. We stopped in at Shirley Plantation and found that we both loved history. Five months later, we found ourselves back on Rte 5 and stopped in at Shirley again… and he proposed :)
DATE ME!
My most disastrous date actually happened after the first date….when his girlfriend showed up at my apartment to see why I had been on a date with her boyfriend! Believe me, I didn’t expect that to happen!!! Luckily she liked my apartment and stopped in the middle of all her questions to compliment how I decorated :) Then I was finally able to explain that he failed to mention he had a girlfriend when he asked me out.
ugh, do I have to remember? Most memorable date was a blind (first clue), double date, that showed up to my house in a monster truck (second clue), where the guy had to …wait for it… give me a push on my caboose to get into the cab it was so damn high! NEVER. AGAIN. But would love this little frame to memorialize my little E’s birthdate!
DATE ME!
DATE ME! My most memorable date was when I went to a vineyard on the first date. The wine was good, but the company was terrible and I was stuck an hour and a half away with a stranger. I then learned to keep all first dates close to home…
DATE ME! 6-9-6 was our wedding day, and it was spectacular!
10/11/06 The day my son was born
12/31/05 The day we finally admitted we were madly in love with eacher other.
Notice there is roughly 9 months between those two dates!
DATE ME!
My most memorable date was my first date with my husband. We met for brunch and couldn’t stand to leave each other. We spent the whole day together and 5 years later we were married!
DATE ME! My most memorable date is the one where I met my husband. We both met up at a bar with our friends but we had such a great time chatting that it seemed we were there alone. He was sweet and charming and five years later, still is!!
DATE ME!
I almost forgot to enter.
DATE ME!!!!!!!!!
My most memorable date is the day my boyfriend and I moved in to our house! :)
DATE ME!
My most memorable (because it was awful) date was my first date at 16 yrs old! We went to see some horrible scary movie, then went for pizza. While trying to be a nice date, I agreed with whatever he said. He asked what kind of pizza I wanted, I said whatever he wanted was fine with me. Well, being a boy, he wanted a pizza covered with meat… which I hate, I’m a plain cheese kinda girl myself. But I went along with it, because that’s what girls are supposed to do on dates, right? I tried to mask all this meat with the little parmesan cheese shaker that was on the table. I smiled at him while shaking and shaking cheese all over my pizza. Then still looking at him, ate a big bite of it. The horrors in my mouth, I was about to vomit… that wasn’t parmesan cheese in the shaker… it was sugar. I had just *poured* sugar all over a meat-covered slice of pizza. :) What a wonderful first date meal. Hope you can get a giggle out of my date memory!
Your photos are totally freaking me out. The first photo date is my birthday, and the second is my wedding anniversary. How did you know that I would love this Freebie so much?!! I mean come on – this is meant to be mine! :-P
DATE ME! My best dates are now with my friends. There is nothing better than sipping a cocktail and catching up with old friends!
DATE ME! 31-7 are my two fave dates! Birth dates of my two little men!
Date Me! (Does it count if my date is in the future…? I move into my first house! on 10.30.09) : )
DATE ME!! (oops – forgot this in the first post)
DATE ME ~ 2/4/06 ~ the first time I met my husband.
Date Me!
We haven’t hit the date yet but 12-5-09 is our wedding date. I’m sure our destination wedding will be pretty amazing!
Date Me! Probably our wedding or the day we admitted that we were actually, officially dating!
DATE ME! My most memorable date actually belongs to my BFF. She decided to try a dating service from the newspaper (before online dating came along). The self-described fit, funny, gentleman turned out to be an extremely hefty guy who asked her to pay for dinner.
DATE ME!
My most memorable date hasn’t happened yet, but will on June 5, 2010…they day I will marry my best friend!
DATE ME!!! My most memorable date was the first one with my husband. We went to a hot air balloon festival with my sister and her bf. It was such a fun night!
DATE ME!!!
DATE ME!
Weirdest date was spent wandering Portland’s various cemeteries, ending up in a historic graveyard at midnight. What can I say – we were young, dumb, spooOOooky kids. I can’t even stay up that late anymore.
DATE ME! My most memorable (worst) date was a blind date via Yahoo personals. About 2 seconds after I met him I knew I made a mistake, and I was correct. He took me to see Runaway Bride, demanded that we hold hands, and then took me to his house (he lived with his mom and YES she was there) to ‘hang out’ and I couldn’t wait to get back to my car the entire awkward time! In retrospect, it wasn’t smart to go with him – in his car – to his house. He could’ve been a serial killer for all I know!
ps – 6.20.09 was my 30th birthday, nice choice of date!
“DATE ME!”
My most awful date happened when I went on a “date” with a guy friend. We went to see a movie and later when he was dropping me off at my house, I realized it was meant to be more of a real date and less friendly when he tried to kiss me! ahhh!
DATE ME!!
My first date with my fiance. We met on a cruise, spent a week together, went home to meet my family and THEN went out on our first date. Over dinner, dessert and some delicious wine (a bottle my mom ordered ahead for us) we both knew this was going somewhere…….fast!
DATE ME! Our most memorable date was our wedding day! It was perfect!
DATE ME! My most memorable day has been my wedding to my amazing husband :) 7-26-08
DATE ME!!!
My now-husband and I had a first date-gone wrong that is still the most memorable of all! Every restaurant that we attempted to go to was not open late, and we ended up getting Coke floats from a McDonald’s drive thru and eating them on the hood of the car in a Wal-Mart parking lot. It’s the small things :)
DATE ME!!! My memorable date was the first one with my hubby, it was a group date. we didnt talk at ALL! He thought I was to good for him, and I thought I was to good for him. Funny how things work out!

DATE ME!!!
The most memorable date for me is the birth of my daughter :) 11-30-06
DATE ME!!
One of my most memorable dates…my first kiss, which also happens to be the first kiss my husband and I shared. Ah, young love that blossomed into a forever love :)
