Married, 27yo female. The hubs and I are from Houston, TX but currently live in NYC. No kids or pets until we move back home. PS - He thinks I'm a crazy stalker when I talk about what "John and Sherry did today."

Twice daily and as many times as you'll post on Friday! I also pin most projects to my Pinterest for future reference.

I love the DIY ideas and the major home renos - took strict notes during the patio building. I can't ever watch the videos at work but sometimes get those in on the weekends.

Not sure I love the shopping trips that much - I don't like shopping so virtually walking through a store isn't up my ally.

Not an area but could you post design plans? I know John showed the drawing of the table behind Karl but I couldn't really conceptualize it, is it possible to have more detailed plans shared?

Female, 22, married. I read it as much as I can. Like everyone else I love the before and after pictures of your projects. It gives so much emphasis on how you can manage to give your home a new look.

Your steps are very helpful.

Sara 25 from Indianapolis, IN married 2 little girls Harper (2 yo) and Ellie (5 months old). One enormous 20 lb Maincoone (Kitty). I read the blog everyday at nap time. It's my mommy time. My facorite posts are the how to's. We are buying our first house this year and your blog has given us the courage to tackle home projects ourselves. I also love the before and after shots. So inspiring. I would love to see more how to's, I am so stoked for the basement. I would like to see things like, "Hate your fireplace?" Here are three ways to fix it! Or something like that. Ways to decorate for the upcoming holidays would be great as well. Oh, keep the children's rooms coming. Love them! Thank you so very much for your dedication, it shows in your work. You give your readers confidence to invest more love in our homes. We are so so grateful. And now for my shameless plug of my own blog: www.urbandwellermom.blogspot.com

Who are you?
Female. 23. When I started reading your blog, I was in Hunan, China. Now I'm in California. Unofficially engaged. No kids. Fostering a chubby kitty for the Humane Society.

How often do you read Young House Love?
I read daily in spurts. 1 week on, couple weeks off.

What are your favorite types of posts & why?
Before & after pictures, hands down. I like major remodels too.

What advice do you have for us to make YHL even better in year #3?
Since your home is so up-to-par after all the work you've already put in, some of the extra touches you've done in your finished rooms seems a little unnecessary. Moving your redecorating to John's sister's nursery was a good way to deal with that, so you could do a bigger transformation, and I liked the decorations for Halloween. Maybe you could throw some parties and do cute stuff for those the way you did for your wedding? More of the now-that-our-house-is-awesome-how-we-can-keep-flexing-our-creative-muscles.

Wow, over 1000 comments and only one snarky one (yes, I'm referring to Sarah's above). Kuddos to you guys for even publishing it! It's amazing that with over 1000 comments she's waxing on and on about how you need to lay off the personal stuff when a huge percentage of those 1000 comments are saying your blog is perfect and you shouldn't change a thing or asking for even more posts, more info about your lives, etc. Sounds like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or better yet might be a tad bit jealous. And envy is never a good color on anyone.

I especially find it entertaining that she's saying your reference to trying for a baby is in bad taste when about a million bloggers talk way more about their wishes to have children or that they're actively trying and you have mentioned it once (probably to get those baby-begging people off your back). Or maybe you're already preggers and that will be your big holiday reveal this year! You guys are just sneaky enough to do that. Either way I'm sure you just laughed at her comment and clicked "approve" but I'm here to defend you because along with about a million other people I love YHL!

And yes I did order a tee shirt (along with the rest of the world I'm sure). You mentioned you had to get more made to keep up with the demand and I wouldn't expect anything less! Go Sherry & John!

I'm a bit late on commenting, but I wanted to pipe in.

Now, this criticism is meant to be constructive, really... Overall, I really love your blog. Especially the DIY and home remodeling advice. The things that don't interest me are the more personal posts - i.e. videos about road trips or an interview about your "non-blogging" lives. A whole week dedicated to your anniversary? A week dedicated to your blogiversary? Who cares?! T-shirts? What the heck! Seriously?? Also, back when you made the transition from TYH to YHL... keeping people guessing about your "big secret" and dragging it on and on and on for how many days? I mean, COME ON! That's when I first started to think you guys were becoming a bit self absorbed. It just grew from there, really. Keep in mind this is just a blog, and try to remember the reason people read it.

Another thing - in these parts, it's considered poor taste and even bad luck to announce your intentions to start "trying" before you're actually pregnant. A word to the wise - it took us 6 months to get pregnant, I'm now due in March. You should take a cue from some other bloggers who made the pregnancy announcement tastefully, i.e. All Things G&D, Making it Lovely, Urban Grace Interiors, Smitten Kitchen, etc. I'm guessing once you do get knocked up, this blog will transition to documenting your pregnancy Truman Show style, maybe with a video report from your first ultrasound. I can't wait! ::note sarcasm::

Anyway, truly, keep up the good work with that which you do best - home improvement, remodeling and decorating. Chill a bit on the more personal stuff. I realize you have fans, but try to keep it all in perspective. Overexposure is bad. Don't let your heads get too big, it can become distasteful really quickly and might make people not want to read this blog at all. Trust me, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Good luck for year three.
