You Name It Freebie Winner!
Thanks for sharing all of your name and nickname stories on our latest giveaway from Name Your Design. We figured we should chime in with our own stories. Sherry’s name is simply the only name her parents could agree on (they both made secret lists using a baby book and it was on both). I’m named after my grandfathers, getting each of their middle names (Emanuel John + Harry Freeman = my name, John Freeman). Oh, and as for Burger, long before we got him we would laugh and laugh over how funny it would be to have a dog named Hamburger. So when we met this patty-sized chihuahua with a spotty cow belly it was a more than perfect moniker.
But enough jibber jabber. Before I get to the most important name of the day (our winner’s) we’re excited to announce that Name Your Design is offering not one, but two special discounts for you! Thanks for your blog! I stumbled upon it through someone else’s. I’m getting lots of great ideas and have been inspired. My husband and I don’t have a house, we have a tiny 800 sq ft apartment – but size doesn’t matter. I’m tryign to make do with what I have and it’s fun so far! Keep the ideas coming!

Well I guess I can manage to find a few words to express my gratitude. First of all, I would like to thank John and Sherry for all of their hard work and dedication in making Young House Love such a fresh, interesting, and user-friendly site. Great giveaways! You guys make home improvement fun and accessible.
And I’s also like to thank Stacy and the name your design team for sponsoring the giveaway and for quick and personable service. The designs are fabulous, but they want to make sure that every detail makes you want to do the Happy Dance.
And finally, I owe this honor to the stars for being in correct alignment in the universe and myself for remembering my own name – with a 1-year old, this is truly an amazing feat. I think I’m supposed to thank my agent, accountant and lawyer now, but those are all me and I already thanked myself.
