Eat Bright Freebie Winners!
So who else is hungry after reading this week’s entries to our Bright and Bold giveaway? I’m always curious to read what others do for lunch because I feel like I’m terribly boring and unimaginative (sandwich or chicken salad if it’s summer, soup if it’s winter). Though I am able to sneak home for lunch every so often since my office is only about 10 minutes away. It’s the closest Sherry and I come to recreating some of our first meals together as just co-workers taking lunch breaks together.
Before we get to announcing our three winners, let’s first announce that Bright and Bold is offering 15% off of all purchases between now and August 24th, just enter YOUNGHOUSE at checkout. That way you can snag a Fresh Snack Pack or a Klean Kanteen (or one of Bright and Bold’s eighty other bottle varieties in stock) at a discount. Woo hoo!
But for the biggest discount of ‘em all, we’ve got a totally free eco-lunch pack for three lucky readers. And this week random.org decided that the A’s should have it. Our three winners are…
- Arissa Mehta
- Amy Wolf
- Amy (she of little planning, but much faith)
We hope you three enjoy tons of reused lunches in the coming weeks. Well, I mean lunches involving reused bottles and bags. Not reused food. That’s just sounds gross. Unless they’re leftovers, I guess. Anyway, moving on…
If your name wasn’t on this week’s prize (perhaps because it didn’t start with A?), something tells us it might just be on the next one. And yes, there’s a hint about next week’s prize in that last sentence somewhere. Feel free to try to crack the code.

Random.org is apparently bias to other letters!! Whats up with that???
Haha, I was thinking the same thing! All A’s! lol
Hmm..something “tells” us…that’s my guess! :)
OMG! I couldn’t be a happier winner! I went to a fortune teller down the shore about a week ago, for fun with friends, and she predicted a wonderful and unexpected gain for me on August 13. Well, SHE WAS RIGHT!!! I’m now the proud new owner of a Klean Kanteen and Fresh Snack Pack.
But the true prize is reading Young House Love every day. Love the blog!
Thank you John and Sherry!!! The kanteen and pack will be much needed inspiration to plan ahead!
Congrats to all the winners (A’s rule!) including those who take advantage of the Bright & Bold discount. Sweet!
i guess “name your design” is the next freebie
Next week’s prize: something that is personalized – so that you can get your name on it… :)
My guess is that the lucky winner(s) will have a name that starts with a “B”. ???
(“If your name wasn’t on this week’s prize (perhaps because it didn’t start with A?), something tells us it might just be on the next one…”)
Bummed I didn’t win, but thanks for the coupon code! I ended up getting a set of Envirosax for the MIL for Christmas(she is always eyeballing mine) and some produce bags so I can be even MORE green at the grocery store!
Joy George—”My guess is that the lucky winner(s) will have a name that starts with a “B”. ???

I LOVE that idea… just let me know what I’ve won since I am the proud owner of a B-name.
Sorry guys! The winners are always picked at random using random.org so it was a huge coincidence that our names all started with an A this week. We definitely won’t intentionally be choosing any specific initials or names next week but I guess with random.org you never know what could happen!

For anyone who didn’t win, I’m also doing a Bright and Bold giveaway on my blog until midnight tonight! Check it out here.
WOW! This is so exciting. And very random! In the life of a stay-at-home mama, this is beyond your average day! We are very into reusable containers in our household, so this is a perfect prize! We are pumped!
Your blog has been a great inspiration to us as we have been househunting for the past 4 months. We are looking forward to finally using some of your DIY tips!
We LOVE the blog – you guys are amazing!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the prizes!
Arissa
I am so excited to have won something! I love these water bottles and was just about to buy one for myself. AND, I’ve been investigating the best options for packing kids lunches, and was on the verge of buying reusable sandwich bags. Winning this is sooo timely! Thank you so much.
I’m so glad that I found your blog a number of months ago. I’ve gotten so many friends hooked on it, too!
Thanks again,
Amy W
Cute baby and I’m glad you had a great time. I can’t wait to see what you come up with from Ikea!! I am so very, very lucky to have one in my town. I have a lot of their products like the Expedit for my craft room (there’s a link in my blog), which I mounted on cabinets, and some tv stands and bookcases, which you can’t beat! They think of everything.
This past weekend I fixed my built in microwave by myself. The handle cracked on it but you have to take apart the inner door to get to the screws. After searching online and finding a appliance forum for help, I ordered my handle from the site for $37 and viola, I saved mucho dineros!!
Darn, my name is Amy too….I thought I was a winner for a split second ;(
I think I know the clue…it’s going to be something monogramed or personalized. “If your name wasn’t on this week’s prize…”
Thanks for the promo code! I just purchased 2 eco-friendly bottles from Bright and Bold.
