No More Naked Walls

We’re all too excited to announce that we’ve added a slew of new prints to our shop after a few months of development and we can’t wait to hear what you guys think! Of course our shop was born from people asking us where we got certain pieces of art in our house (the answer was always “we made ‘em!”) and I love putting my Bachelor of Fine Arts to good use. When it comes to production, everything’s printed on heavy weight high quality archival paper with the help of a local print shop (we design ‘em, they print ‘em, and we ship ‘em right to your door). And speaking of shipping, it’s always free because you know we love a deal! So without further ado, our newest art offerings…

First we have these sweet little 5″ x 7″ egg prints (four for $25) that were a blast to create. I kept trying to picture what birds would emerge- the blue one is definitely a robin’s egg, but the rest were dreamed up on the fly, so who knows what could be in there!

Next we have our large and lovely sea life photo series (two for $35). At 11 x 14 inches, these babies can add a breezy touch of natural texture to any room, and we love them in everything from a white frame to a sleek chrome one or even a stately dark wood or black one.

We also added this abstract 12″ x 12″ stripe series ($20 each) which look almost museum-worthy with big white mats and clean-lined frames. We intentionally made them in a variety of colors (blue & tan, green, yellow & gray, and blue & magenta) in hopes that they’ll suit a wide range of color palettes and add texture to spare.

And this next print makes us want to raise a glass. You can celebrate your no-longer-naked kitchen walls with this festive 5″ x 7″ cork print ($15) which looks lovely in a big white mat and can be hung vertically or horizontally (above your stove? leaning on your counter? the possibilities are endless).

We snapped these black & white 8″ x 10″ prints of New York City fire escapes ($15 each, both for $25) because we knew they’d look chic and sophisticated in any setting. Look at all those moody lines and shadows!

These 12″ x 12″ textile prints ($20 each) were inspired by fabrics that we’ve been loving lately. The soft gray geometric print on top is serene and sleek while the mocha and cream ikat pattern on the bottom will add energy to any space.

And of course everyone asks us what our favorite prints are. While we love everything in our shop (they’re all our babies!), we still have a soft spot in our heart for our set of four 12″ x 12″ clean-lined botanicals ($20 each, four for $50). And we’ve heard back from tons of people who ordered them that they love them in their space too. They’re so much more detailed than we can show online, they actually have a subtle burlap texture behind the leaves, so they’re chic and intricate to boot.

So there you have it. Some old favorites and a bunch of new prints to dress up your bare walls. Feel free to swing through our shop to check out all the other things we have in there- and of course we’d love to hear your favorites!

Speaking of our shop, if you’re looking for pieces that we have in our house or products that we love (and actually use daily) check out our Amazon shop full of our favorite cleaning products, furnishings, accessories, and even TV shows that keep Casa Petersik feeling like home. Because loving what you live with is really what it’s all about.

I was just wondering the other day when you were going to come out with some new stuff for your shop. :-) I love the sea life prints, and the NYC shots. (Love NYC in a bad way, wish I could live there)

Must have the sea life prints! I love them!

I feel like I saw these prints when I checked out your shop last week. Are they new, but not “just put on the website this second” new?
I do think they are all great, love the botanicals the best too!!

Great artwork – I especially love your canine silhouettes (not shown here). How about offering some of your art as a Fab Freebie givewaway???

Love them all!! I hope you will still have the others available as well in the next month or so. We’re just now painting our new home, so I haven’t gotten around to placing anything on the walls yet. I love the dogs and the “I love you more”/”the good life” pics.

I’ll order those soon, I’m sure!

My favorites are the abstract stripe prints. They’re cheery, modern, and chic. Great work!

These are great — you’ll be getting my order soon.

Question — and one that you’ve probably answered before — where is a good source for pre-cut mats and large frames? I’d like to keep costs down when framing them.

Thanks!

Hey Dee,

All of the frames shown above are Ikea and we use them in our own home (almost exclusively) so we know they’re great- and you can’t beat the price. Hope it helps!

Sorry guys everyone at my house said that the eggs were ugly. But the sea life photos look great!

I love the sealife ones too! Only problem is our walls are tan so they would kind of blend in, no? I would love to see them with a light blue background maybe? We’re modeling our new living room after one of your reader redesigns. We even picked up the Bridget rug from PB!

Hey Sarah,

With a big white mat or in a crisp white frame the sea life prints will definitely pop off your tan walls (in fact we have some of our tan botanicals on our tan walls thanks to a nice white frame and mat that gives them presence and helps them stand out). You can also use a handsome wood-toned frame or even a stainless steel one to give them more oomph! Hope it helps.

Wow! These are gorgeous. Cool, serene, and artsy.

Do you not sell the monogram sets anymore? I saw them in your shop a couple of weeks ago and this post reminded me to get them but now they aren’t there. :(

Hey Lauren,

Alas, everything in our shop is limited edition and we’re actually no longer offering the monogram prints. So sorry about that! But stay tuned for more things coming and going… we like to keep things fresh in there so you never know what will pop up!

Is it possible to get different sizes? I love the botanical prints but I’m afriad they’re a wee bit too big for the small sliver of wall I’d like to put them on. All of them are great!

Hey Jamie,

We’re afraid the prints only come in the standard sizes listed in our shop (they’re all stored in the system with our local printer so they just run ‘em off and we ship ‘em out) but the good news is that in a nice wide mat in a larger frame they have quite a presence! The ones in our house are 21″ x 21″ in our larger frames. Hope it helps.

Hi,
I especially love the botanicals but have a few questions. Are they white (cream) on burlap colored backgrounds? And what size mat have you used? I have “honeycomb” colored walls and am looking for a set of 4 to complete my rooms decor. Also wondered if you will have the fern prints you had featured a while back?

Great job on your site – I love it

Vicki

Hey Vicki,

The botanicals are pure white on a tan subtly textured burlap background. They look great with a mat that is white or cream and a frame that is white, cream, wood, or black. They really are versatile. We have one hanging on a wall that’s cream and one on a wall that’s blue-gray and they’re both in white frames with white mats and they’re really soft and pretty. As for the size of the mat, we use Ikea frames which come with 12 x 12″ openings (which is why we sized the prints that way, to make them easy to frame) and the mats are 3.5″ wide all around (the frames are 21 x 21″). I believe they’re around $19 for both the frame and the mat. Can’t beat that! As for the fern prints, they’re no longer available (everything in our shop is limited edition because we like to keep things fresh, but stay tuned for new additions in the coming months). Hope it helps!

Your new stuff is really nice, and I think the eggs are cute.

BTW, your Amazon store (which I didn’t know existed before this post!) still has the old “TYH” tag.

I am eagerly awaiting your garage cleanup to get some storage ideas!
