Fab Freebie: Bug Off

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

We love summer (who doesn’t?) but we hate the annoying bug bites that come with it (again, who doesn’t?). We’ve tried all sorts of natural bug sprays, yard sprays, and even incense sticks because we’re definitely not big fans of putting unnecessary chemicals on our bodies (I’m actually allergic to Deet) or our yard (Burger’s hunting ground). Which is why we jumped at the chance to try out a new, natural product called My Mosquito Deleter.

mymosquitodeleter

As you can see in the video below, the My Mosquito Deleter is a pretty simple system. It’s a bucket of standing water with a specially designed trap that, thanks to a special tablet, encourages mosquitos to lay their eggs in the Deleter. Then the trap keeps the newborn blood-suckers from ever escaping (cue the maniacal laughter). So while it doesn’t kill existing buggers, it keeps new ones from setting up residence in your yard, thereby cutting their numbers dramatically. We put our buckets out a couple of weeks ago and so far so good. The average mosquito lifespan is 30 days, so we’re still waiting for some of the existing blood-suckers to die off. But after that we’ll hopefully be itch free for a while.

And the good news is that four lucky winners will also take home their very own 4-pack of mosquito deleting buckets. Here’s the scoop (oh and let me know what you think of our the new, quicker-to-read format for freebie details):

Beyond that, the usual rules apply: only one entry per e-mail address is permitted and the four winners will be selected using random.org and shared later in the week. Good luck and stay tuned…

BUG ME!

Bug me!

BUG ME! BUG ME! BUG ME!!

BUG ME…. people who don’t use their turn signal while driving really bug me.

Bug me

What bugs me: the lady across the hall in our apartment building who practices her opera-singing (I kid you not) while my toddler tries to nap. Will be living in new house in 5 days! :)

Bug me….indeed!
Those little beauties would go down a treat in my neck of the woods – my fiance’ and i are in the process of building our house on a block of land with an adjacent creek which we all know equals mossies!

BUG ME!

I get really annoyed when people are inconsiderate!

BUG ME!
I am bugged by people that throw garbage in recycling bins! At work, there are many careless individuals that either cannot follow the sign showing what is appropriate to deposit in the co-mingle bins or are just too lazy to put trash in the garbage can! URGH!

BUG ME!!!!PLEASE!!! These buckets look AMAZING…as is your blog!!

“BUG ME”

I’ll try anything once to get rid of these annoying pests!

My personal pet peeve would be people who don’t use turning signals. How hard is it to flick that little wand on the side of your steering column?

Bug Me! What bugs me is when my husband puts his garbage next to the can and not in it, and the same for the dirty laundry – on top of the hamper and not in it! UGH!! Open the lid and drop it in baby!!

BUG ME!
It bugs me when I have dirty dishes in my sink!

BUG ME! What bugs me is when my family doesn’t clean up after themselves! It would take them a minute but instead it takes me 30 minutes to clean up after everyone! AGH!

oh – and I also HATE mosquitos! ;)

We just tore down an eyesore of an above-ground swimming pool that was a haven for mosquitoes, but these gizmos would still come in handy.

BUG ME!
It bugs me when people think cleaning the house means piling up the clutter in one spot. Yes, I am talking about my sweet husband!

BUG ME!!!!

I hate a pile of dishes. Always need to do the dishes before I go to bed.

BUG ME! I live in FL, so this is very useful. My biggest pet peeve is people who repeat the things they say, as if I didn’t understand the first time!!!!!!!

BUG ME.
Impatient drivers bug me – just chill, you’ll still get to that red light eventually!

BUG ME! Oh goodness! I’ve got a lot of stuff that bugs me, but I really can’t stand rude drivers.

Bug Me!! We’ve also tried using garlic concentrate, but haven’t had much luck with that. We’re gonna keep trying though… man I hate the skeeters.

Bug Me! We need this soooo bad!

BUG ME! Bug me all night long…

OMG BUG ME! I am so allergic to mosquitos and this thing seems awesome. I have tried everything under the book to keep these pesky bugs off of me in the summer so I’d love to see how this product works. Please, please, Please, random.org, pick me!

BUG ME! I can’t stand when I have to repeat myself to people…listen the first time please :-)

BUG ME!!!! I live in Texas and the dadgum mosquitoes around here think I’m running a free blood bank!!!

BUG ME! We’ve got a new puppy and he will go nuts when he finds a fly in the house, trying to catch it! Help us out! :)

BUG ME, I hate it when a lovely dinner on the deck turns into a mosquito festival and why am I the one they always prefer to feast upon?

Bug Me!

BUG ME! My yard has lots of skeeters and I need this!
