SO glad you found this board and it’s helping you! We’ve seen lamps very similar to that at HomeGoods and TJ Maxx and Marshalls so those would be your best bet. And Target also has some great large scale textured lamps on a budget. Hope it helps!

Hi there

I LOVE LOVE your site and check it daily (hey, I have to pass the time at work somehow). My husband and I are itching to redo out Living Room but due to budget restraints, we are stuck with the red sofa and loveseat we bought years ago. Our LR is beige and I think Im allergic to beige, but didnt know what to do with the room, and was feeling limited in design by the red couches. I was putzing around on your site (again instead of working, but its OK bc my boss was perusing it with me) and came across this make-over and its PERFECT. Its old, so most of the items are no longer available but after much hunting on the internet, Ive found some great budget friendly replicas. The only thing I cant find anything remotely similar too are those TO DIE FOR lamps from C&B. Any suggestions, or places to look for a knock off or something similar? I am IN LOVE with those lamps, and maybe one day, but for now, $384 (sans tax and shipping) is just not in the budget.

I love the leather parson chairs. I got mine from Kirkland’s and they were only $79.99!!! I shopped for a while to find the best price and you can sometimes catch them on sale. My sister got 2 of them from there for like $59 she said. I got mine in black, but I think they had them in brown also?

Hey Lisa,

Great question! I would go with either a long fixture that will mimic the shape of the table (like this one or this one from West Elm) or a round one, which will still look lovely with your curvy oval table below (just be sure it’s not too dinky- bigger is better). You could also probably do two airy pendant lights (like these) but two drum shades might be a bit too “heavy.” Hope it helps!
