Fab Freebie: From Our House To Yours

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries ***

This giveaway can be summed up in two words (well, one’s technically just a letter): Z Gallerie.

The fine people at the big Z.G. have been very good to us (you may remember the kind birthday present they recently sent Sherry), and now they’re about to be very good to one of you. They’ve graciously offered up not one, not two, not even just three, but FOUR pieces of their collection to one lucky reader. And we can personally vouch for each item because (here’s our favorite part) they’re all accessories that we’ve purchased for our own home. Yep, consider it your own little Young House Love starter kit of sorts. It includes:

The Large Atlantis Clam Shell (which we use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen, priced at $45)…

…Sherry’s cherished white Ceramic Rhino (priced at $25)…

…and two, count ‘em two, Lucerne Sconces (totalling $80):

That’s $150 worth of our favorite items from Z Gallerie. We had to buy ‘em all (actually, I think every single one was a birthday present for Sherry at some point) but one of you is going to get them all on the house. To enter just comment on this post with the words “FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” by Wednesday, May 6th at 8pm EST. And while you’re there, we’d love to hear what you might consider a “signature item” in your home. Maybe something that you think is “so you” or that your friends would say is perfectly representative of your style. This giveaway is only open to US residents and only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. We’ll announce the randomly selected winner on Thursday. Good luck…

Oh, and is anyone surprised that all of the items are white? Didn’t think so…

From your house to mine!!

I’m not sure my house has a signature item…I’m still in search of one. Perhaps one of these items could be if I win!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

Signature item would have to be my family collectibles. I love bringing our history into the house.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

definitely blue glass vases– i have one or two in almost every room in our condo.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

Good lord, do these giveaways rack up the comments.

In my dorm room (soon not to be my dorm room…yippee!) I have an ever-expanding collage of neat pictures on one wall. Having spent more than a year in this particular room, the Wall has grown to nearly cover the actual wall. Everyone loves The Wall, and it helps hide the nasty off-white cinderblock.

That, and I use a tiny gargoyle to prop my door.

From your house to mine! Love that Rhino!

“FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE”

I just moved into my first home! I’m working on these lovely items to make it homey!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

My red chair and my Jonathan Adler bird pillow are so, so me.

“FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!”

I don’t have a signature in my house, unless you count the dust.

I have a thing for snowmen. It’s a problem that my kids tease me about all winter long

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! My signature pieces? Not sure that I’ve found one yet or a collection, so if I win the Young House Love Starter Kit, I would say it would probably become my signature!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE

love love love these

Well, “from your house to mine,” my odds are not looking good here. But for the love of the aesthetic, I play.

A signature item or two: a black Pottery Barn knock off ladder shelf my husband made, and a little stand my dad made when he was younger, which now sits in my entryway. Both nicely constructed items with sentimental value and clean lines.

Z Gallerie items I like:

The only thing really “signature” about our style is that we have a small touch of red in each room. May be flowers, a candleholder, or my favorite – red umbrellas featured in some of our paintings by Brent Heighton.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

i have way too many sheepskin throws

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

I think my signature item would be a gorgeous ceramic robin’s egg. It’s about 6 inches tall with gorgeous brown speckling. I absolutely adore it and frequently move it from room to room.

From Your House to Mine!!

Hmm, signature item. Honestly I really don’t know. I’ve only recently turned my eyes towards truly decorating our home. This has prompted me to get rid of a lot of clutter that was just sitting out. However, I can’t bring myself to get rid of my willow tree angels, so maybe those?

From your house to mine!

My signature piece – I have this great espresso brown and robin egg blue bowl. My husband and I are in the process of buying our first home…so hopefully I’ll get a few more signature pieces soon = )

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!
My signature item would be the painting by my Grandmother. I know she would have said it wasn’t finished, but I love it and the reminder it brings.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!! i would say that my signature statement would be black and white. my house is complete in that color scheme!

From Your House to Mine! I really like clean lines!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!
No signature item yet.

From your house to mine!

My signature pieces are some abstract paintings that my husband and I made for our bedroom when we first bought our condo. We’re not artists, but they came out really cool!

“FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!”

From your house to mine!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! The signature pieces in my home are the set of hardcarved teak elephants that my grandmother brought back from England. They’re missing the tusks, but I love them anyway.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! …..Please send it to my home

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!…Please pick me

From your house to mine. I need them! I need them! Every SINGLE piece!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! Signature pieces are my many collections — painted wood birds by artist Tom Kelly,
vintage globes (30 and counting!), old stained glass windows leaning here and there throughout the house. All of my flea market finds would be “signature” for me.
Thanks for the fun opportunity!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

I guess my signature piece is my piano. It’s the first thing people see when they walk into my house, and the wood is black oak, so I love that it’s both bold and classic.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

I have this random obsession with birds. I have two white ceramic pheasants I got from my mom that I love.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE –

My new favorite signature item (I have a few :) is a jewelry box I picked up while in Bruges, Belgium. What a great giveaway from Z Gallerie!!

“FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!”
Wow! I am eying those sconces! A signature item in my house would be my pictures frames. They are a signature of my love of photography. I am crossing my fingers that I can add these items to my house as well. Yay for giveaways!

From your house to mine! My signature item is a buffet cabinet I bought at a thrift store for $39 and my husband re-painted, which is now our favorite piece of furniture!

I dont care that its a late entry. Have pity! From your house to mine!

“FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!”

The signature item in my home would be a large painting that reminds me of my favorite place on earth, the lake!

“From Your House To Mine!”

My signature piece(s) are my masks on the wall in my living room… from Indonesia, Mexico, Africa, Native Canada… they’re beautiful and unique.

But that white rhino, he has a story, too, I think :)
