We love movies and my husband likes to go all cozy with some pillows, blanckets and ice cream when we watch them so it's inevitable that we'll fall asleep eventually while we watch. So, occasionally we put the air mattress in front of our couch and camp out in the family room all night!

I just bought my first home at the end of April. You wouldn't believe the struggles I went through to get to sleep in it! First of all, the queen sized mattress and boxspring wouldn't fit up the stairs. I mean, at all. Several friends came over insisting they could get it up, how hard could it be, etc, and all of them left scratching their heads. So for the first three weeks, I kept the mattress and boxspring in the dining room! One of the things I love about this big old house is its huge windows (3'x6' or bigger, with many per room), but unfortunately that means huge window treatments. I ended up not being able to sleep at the house for almost 2 weeks before I had enough curtains to cover my backside from the neighbors (no big front lawn like you've got -- it's about 4 square feet before the sidewalk on a very busy street!). It's been a minor adventure, but I finally got my bed upstairs about a week ago. Oh, and if you were wondering how we did it, we took out an upstairs window and shoved the thing up that way!

My boyfriend and I are trying to train our puppy to sleep in his grate, which we have recently moved from our bedroom to the living room. So, we have been sleeping on the couches in the living room until the lil guy gets used to being out there. There has to be an easier way!!

I sleep in my backyard in my tent occasionally. I live on a corner lot, though, so people can see me in the tent so I get nervous sometimes. My boyfriend's yard is more condusive to sleeping outside since his is more private. :)

Occasionally, my husband and I will pull out the sleeper from the sofa and watch movies in the living room on a lazy weekend. It's fun to revisit that sleepover feeling from childhood. We also love to camp, which leaves us sleeping in weird places sometimes- in the car, on the ground, hammocks in trees, or just the tent- but we LOVE the outdoor adventure of it all!

We have our mattress and boxsprings on the office floor (cramped, yeah.) while we finish up the master bedroom. We just put a wall at the front of the closet (was floor to ceiling doors) so that we can have bi-fold doors, and then painted the entire room. Now the crown moulding is going up after work/before kiddo bedtime. Hopefully I'll re-assemble my room this week. :)

During the summer, we have our guest room (on the first floor) ready to go, because our bedroom (on the second floor and west facing) can get very hot in the evening. I or my husband and I start the night downstairs and move upstairs once things cool off. And I can vouch for the guest bed being very very comfortable.

We recently had to spend the night on the sectional sofa due to loud drying fans in the bedroom, drying water from our neighbors water heater. Ahhh, fun condo life. Thought it would be fun at first to stay up late and watch movies and fall asleep on the sofa, then realized I wasn't in college anymore and was getting to old for that kinda thing. Good thing this only lasted two nights!!

We haven't done a lot of this but I love the idea! Although the bed in our guest room used to be mine before we moved in together and it is retired for a reason. But I think I will ask the hubs if he would do some backyard camping or make a living room pallet with me :o)
