Merry Christmas and thank you for the wonderful picture. I am taking a photography online course and I was wondering if you can share how you took this picture? It is just so pretty and I like how the out-of-focus background makes the gingerbread man look so nice. What lens did you use? Thanks.

We actually found this shot on google but to accomplish the same out of focus background with an in-focus foreground we use the “macro” lens on our digital camera for a similar effect. The auto focus feature will lock in on the object in the foreground and gorgeously obscure the background for a look very similar to the one in the photo. Hope it helps!
