Thanks so much Sherry, that's what I was hoping to hear. I pulled the trigger and got a great deal on an 8 x 10! Can't wait to get the rug into it's new home :)

Hey Meg,

It's definitely not highlighter yellow (super bright) but it's more like a cheerful sunshine yellow (which will really work as a neutral with tan walls and a chocolate brown sofa). I also think it'll play well with pale blue and green accents since our dining area has a few green pops of color and our adjoined kitchen is pale blue. I'd snag it quickly though, because they're sold out online (but you might be able to find them in your local PB store- we saw a few this weekend in ours). Hope it helps!

xoxo,

Hi guys! I've recently found your site and have quickly become a huge fan! Love your style and all your wonderful DIY projects. I've fallen in love with the moorish tile PB rug after seeing it in your living room. I haven't seen it in person and am wondering if you'd consider it a neutral yellow? My walls are BM Crisp Khaki and in addition to lots of white and cream I have some pale blue and green accents. My sofa is a cappuchino color (will hopefully have a new white or cream sofa soon).I'm wondering if the pineapple yellow would work. Any thoughts? Thanks and keep up the fabulous work :)

Hey Izabela,
We got ours for like $4 at Lowe's or Home Depot (can't remember which). They usually come in brushed nickel or white so just go with whichever one floats your boat (we went for the brushed nickel for that modern look). Hope that helps!
Oh and Lori, even though it sounds annoying, it was incredibly cool every time they moved something or replaced it because they're pros so we were just watching for some tips (and fun ideas for the future). They totally knew what they were doing and before they left everything was back in its place and the house was cleaner than it had ever been (and full of flowers to boot!).
xoxo,
Sherry

I just find it odd that the photoshoot is supposed to be about your home and your taste and then someone comes in bringing their own accessories and even changes the color schemes. To me it makes it more their space than your space. But I'm the freak who had a wedding at home and didn't want anyone to move a piece of furniture. Like 40 people could stand in a living room with a sofa and coffee table in the middle of it. I admire how this didn't bother you. I'd be upset with anything of mine that was removed from the shot and replaced with something else.

Great reminder, Jennifer! Dash and Albert is the perfect place to hunt for a new rug. I've got my fingers crossed we spot something that works.
And Izabela, sorry the plug caught you off guard. But have no fear, they're easily convertible to a hardwired pendant. The folks at CB2 instructed us to simply cut the wire (at a spot that will allow it to hang 30-34" above the table) using a simple pair of scissors. This leaves you with two exposed wires that, after stripping some of the plastic coat, easily separate and connect to the wires in your ceiling fixture. It's almost like the plug was never there. Hope that helps!
