The only thing I regret about getting married seven years ago (today, in fact!) was not having a simple ceremony just like this. We were both in college, so it wasn't an extravagant affair by some measures, but we put thousands of dollars of stuff on credit cards, which took us years and years to pay off. I would have had all the same memories from a simple wedding and not starting out saddled with high-interest debt would have changed our first few years together dramatically.
