I don’t think World Market carries that rug/offers that service anymore. I went by one today and asked. I’ve been looking for a natural fiber rug with that square/diamond design. Any suggestions of where else to find it?

I just bought a 9×6 rug for our living room that is just like yours! We bought it at a home decor shop called Trees N’ Trends for only $30! I wonder if its the same quality as the one you got from World Market? I was so excited to bring it home, because now I feel so chic like you guys. :)

It’s funny I discovered this blog a couple of weeks ago and am playing catchup, love it by the way, but it’s crazy because in one of my old Domino mags (RIP) I have this rug tagged, they only show a couple of squares but it caught me, closest World Market is a couple hours away though.

Yup, you can get any length with the 6′ width (they cut it for you on the spot) so you can do 12 or 10 or 6 or whatever you’d like but it would be by 6′ wide. Maybe you can put two next to each other though since they’re so textured (even stitching them together with fishing wire or something) that it would look pretty darn seamless. Hope it helps!

This post is from so long ago that I’m not sure anybody will read it, but do you think it would be possible to add strips to the rug to make it wider than 9′? We need a 12×15 rug for our living room, and the one’s I’ve found are SUPER expensive, so I thought this might be a good option…

Hey Shari,

Yup, we went with the honey brown tone and it looks great with our hardwood flooring as well as our dark-toned furnishings. I’m sure it’ll look gorgeous in your eating nook- and it’s so easy to keep clean because you can just vacuum it or shake it out if it gets crumbs on it. Because the texture is straw-like, it’s not very absorbent so it would definitely be a nice durable choice since it’s so stain resistant. Hope it helps!

Rug looks great in your bedroom. Is this the honey brown color? This would look fabulous in my eating nook, as I have maple hardwood flooring and a black pub table. Also need one in my family room, so I might get one for in there as well. Thanks for sharing.

It all looks so lovely. The rug is the perfect compliment to the soft linens; a nice earthy organic touch. I use this flooring a lot. I tend to buy the light colored version. Have you seen that one? They in fact have three types to choose from (maybe not at all locations though). I did a whole big area in the garage where my son has a place that he plays and does art. I also have some in the dining room. I will say that you have to lift it up now and then and vacuum underneath it as it sheds little bits of grass.
