Hey Liz,

We actually thought Laura's existing floor plan made the most sense for her space, but by replacing her table lamps with a matched set and picking up a round coffee table, the room will feel a lot more balanced and polished. Hope it helps!

xo,
Sherry

What is the recommended room layout? I have the exact room and cannot figure out how to design the floor plan.

Love the mood board and especially love the trunk style side tables! I saw these loose slipcovers on the PB website (http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p9965/index.cfm?pkey=cfurslclft). Wonder if those would work to give a slipcovered look without changing the existing couch/chair? It also looks like the slipcover would allow the recliner to still recline (a bonus for football season)!

Laura (and all), so glad you like it. We too can't wait to see how everything looks in place. Don't forget to send pictures so we can post 'em for all to admire!
<br>
I have to give Sherry credit for finding that great coffee table. We both couldn't get over how cool the lines are. If only we had space in our house for one. Sigh.

I always love how you resolve the decorating dilemmas that come your way, but I have to say this one has truly impressed me. When I first saw the picture with the sofas I thought it would be really hard to find other furniture and decorating elements that could go well with them but not too close to that style so they could be replaced by something lighter in the future. And you did it! I specially love the coffee table, it's beautiful, elegant and not something I'd be tired of in three days (like I do with most things...)
