Purty Prezzies
We said we’d fill you in on all the fabulous booty that we scored, so here ya go…
From my newly engaged best-buddy-in-the-whole-wide-world (who’s marrying John’s cousin by the way!) we got this fantastic personalized planter. It’s perfect considering John and I were married in July of 07, and it’ll be something we’ll adore forever and a day. Now all we need is a plant with at least nine lives.

We also got a gift card to West Elm which we promptly spent about 20 hours after we unwrapped it. These shiny gold boxes were the first things that caught our eye (perfect for storing all the stuff we’d rather not see).

Storage must have been a theme, because we also fell in love with this pretty partridge piggy bank that looks more like art than a nickel & dime receptacle. It’s also a huuuuge upgrade considering we used to keep our lose change in a plastic purple cup.

We also got a plethora of other amazing stuff, including a cute set of William’s Sonoma mugs accompanied by some tasty mulling spices, a gorgeous black & white hardcover book of NYC photography, and a thoughtful donation to Richmond’s Habitat For Humanity in our name. How cool is that?
Now it’s your turn. Tell us all about your favorite holiday scores (and your least favorite- those are always fun too). Only 358 days til next Christmas!

Remember when I got a silver spoon that had the Ben and Jerry’s logo on it for Christmas. Probably the worst gift I ever got but I’ve turned that nightmare present into a fun game. I wrapped the spoon up one year and gave it to my brother who knew the story behind it. Ever since then it’s been making it’s way through my family and it’s so much fun trying to figure out who will get the spoon next and hoping it’s not me again lol.
Ha! I will never forget the look on your face when you unwrapped that spoon. Priceless. We’ve all had that panicked feeling when you unwrap something you don’t like (or even understand) and desperately search for something nice to say that sounds even remotely genuine. Hysterical. Also glad to see you “made lemonade” with that terrible lemon of a gift by jokingly regifting it each year. Too funny. As always, thanks for the comment my best-little-blog-commenter-ever-in-the-history-of-
blog-commenters.

That’s funny!! We have a similar “gift” that gets sent around our family every year. It’s hilarious seeing who ends up with it next and the look on their face when they do!
I have to ask, do you know where they got that pot with your name on it? I love anything that is personalized like that!
Thanks,
Brandi

I love the partridge bank! So cute!
That’s so funny! We have a box that makes the rounds each year. Its a shirt box from the long-closed Simpson’s Store! Whoever gets it is in charge of carefully storing it and re-gifting it next year
